I am having a similar problem as kurosuzeria.
I'm using AVS Video Editor Version 6.0.2.183. When I go to produce the video, it starts the production then an error occurs
"Internal Error was encountered (code: 65536) . Please contact the support service if this error persists. ..."

I've been using this program for years and have never had this problem until about 3 weeks ago. I attached the file I am trying to make a video of.
I've tried all methods to save and I always get the same internal error message.

Please advise.

I have exactly the same problem :

AVS video editor crash during the final compilation of the project.Error 65536, same message.
Usually it crash not far from the end of the compilation.

For me it comes obvioulsy from overlay videos. If I have added overlay videos in the project it may crash.
Some overlay videos doesnt crash, other does. I checked it many times by removing a suspected overlay video or disabling the overlay video line in the project.

Dunno if everybody here had overlay video in their project when they got the problem.

Does it depend on the file format you add to video overlay? Could you please attach one of such project with overlay, which gives the error? Please attach the file in zip archive.

No it doesnt depend of the format as I use only Fraps captures which are same codec.

I'm getting the exact same thing. I have a series of lectures that I'm editing to insert overlays from an accompanying PowerPoint presentation, then publishing in a format with the same settings as the original file. My first video, which was about 750 MB, worked without a hitch. My second video, which is slightly over 1 GB, crashes AVS Video Editor at about 97% done. Then I get the 65536 error.

I'm on a time constraint with this project, so it's incredibly frustrating. As it is it's taking between three and four hours to publish this - it's HD video and processor-intensive - but then, after all that time, I get nothing but failure. This has repeated itself three times.

I'm using AVS Video Editor 6.0.3.184 on Windows XP SP3.

Here it is, just a zip of the vep file. If you need the individual pieces that the vep is trying to assemble, let me know.

PC is running WinXP SP3, Intel CPU 2160 @ 1.80GHz, 2 gigs of RAM.

Thank you.

We have analyzed the project and it is correct. Therefore we need your source files for a project. Please upload them to our FTP-server, the instructions will be given to you in our support system.

Also, please attach a screenshot of memory usage (Task Manager>Processes>AVS Video Editor) at the moment when the error occurs.

Should you need any assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Regards.

I too am getting the same error code approximately 90% of the way through production.

Let me know how and where to upload my files to you. Thanks!

Hi there,

I've submitted a support request as well, but can you post the solution here as well for future users who come searching?

Searching for AVS 65535 on Google shows this as the #1 result.

Best,
