there was supposed to have an attached program to cut large files to send it to you but it was not there
Apart from that, please cut out 50 Mb from the largest .m2ts file from your disc using a special utility attached and send both the files that you get to us.
thanks

When I try to save an edited video project in AWS Video Editor, I get the following error message: An internal error was encountered (code: 65536). Please contact the support service if this error persists. How can I solve this problem and save my finished video project?

First make sure you are using the up-to-date version of the program. It can be downloaded from here.

If yes, please provide some additional information already requested by Vlad above (post #8693).

Hope to hear from you soon.

I am using AVS Video Editor v.4.2.1.166, which I believe is the latest version. Attached is a screen capture showing the profile and format. I get the same error message (another screen shot attached) regardless of whether I select File or Disk as the output. The code 65536 error message pops up about 30 seconds after the save program starts saving the video. I will also attach a Belarc Advisor report from today, which should tell you everything you need to know about our computer and OS. I was able to click the "save Movie" button successfully at an earlier stage of the project. I am very concerned that weeks of work on this video peoject may be lost if I can't save it into another format.

Could you try reinstalling the software completely:
1. Go Start> All Programs> AVS4YOU> Uninstall.

2. Go Start> Run... Print regedit in the opened window and click Ok. In the opened Registry Editor window please find and delete all AVS4YOU folders:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU (delete it).

3. Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > AVS4YOU (delete it).
Go Local Disc (C:) > Program Files > Common Files > AVSMedia (delete it).
Go Local Disc (C:)> Documents and Settings > All Users > Application Data > AVS4YOU (delete it).

The download the program from the following page and install it.

Hello. I am also getting the error. I am running the latest version of AVS Video Converter (7.1.2.480). i have set the settings for single thread, below normal priority, and it works fine, as long as i select the AC3 Audio stream of the MKV movie. When I select audio stream 2 (MP3), it gives me the error. Stream 2 is in english, so i need this one over stream 1. Otherwise, an AWESOME program, as are all of them.

Thank you very much,

James (BlackLion)

Hello James,

Do you get this error just with one certain mkv file?

As far as i know, this is the only file that has done it. i tried it with audio stream 1 (acc) and it worked for a while, then errored.

I keep getting this error and am using AVS Video Editor of the latest version from the website. This fix that I quoted does work but only until I close down the programme. Every time I reopen it, I have to repeat this process or the error comes back. It's really getting annoying and only started doing it recently. I have no idea how to fix it, but it's getting incredibly annoying.

Anything new on this? It's got to where even reinstalling does nothing. I can't save because of this error. What's going on with it?

Hello,

We have just released new version AVS Video Editor 6.0. Please try using it.

If it does not solve the issue, please attach your vep project file. Also, please specify to which format do you produce video and which output settings you select.

Best regards.

It's still not working 90% of the time. It would be pointless to attach my files because it does it with any file. I would make a new project 10 unique times (and have) and it would still do this error. I downloaded the new version, of course, yesterday. It happens both when I am trying to save as avi then mpeg, but the only way to 'get around' it is to try to save three times as an avi first (which gets to about 76% before the error pops up) then to save as an mpeg and usually on the third time it will go through. This is incredibly irritating especially on files several hundreds megs. It means wasting a few hours on saving what should only take 40ish minutes. I have tried with many different output settings, but usually starting at 720p HD settings, then altering the bit rate a little or the sound quality. Another thing I noticed yesterday while uninstalling to reinstall was that there is no AVS folder in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU to delete, only the one in HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > AVS4YOU I don't know why and I don't know what causes it or if that's a root of some issue. I don't know why it wouldn't be there (I am installing it as Admin every time).

Sorry for the delay.

Make sure that you have the latest version

Please provide some additional iinformation about the problem:

- specify the format and origin of the files you work with in AVS Video Editor;
- specify if you add transitions, video efffects, video overlay and make other edits;

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards.
