I converted a mov file to swf wmv. Everything worked fine, except the audio doesn't match. It looks like a bad karate movie. What can I do to fix it.

Hello,

Please make sure that you mov file is in sync originally and plays properly in video player software. Also please specify the following details:

- the origin of you mov file;
- do you have this problem with one certain mov file or with several ones?

Best regards.

I'm having the same problem when I converted a VOB to WMV. The original VOB plays fine in Windows Media Player. After using AVS Video Converter 7.1 - using Profiles:
- Windows Media Video 9 High Quality
- HD Video 1080p: WMV9, 9000 kbps; Audio: WMA Pro, 384 kbps
- HD Video 720p: WMV9, 7000 kbps; Audio: WMA Pro, 384 kbps

None of these profiles fixed the problem with the video and audio sync issue.

Thx. Scott

We do not recommend to convert DVD file to HD video profiles as DVD has mush less video quality, the result will be very poor. Also, we recommend to open VIDEO_TS.IFO file in AVS Video Converter to converter DVD. If it does not solve you issue please specify your PC configuration (Operatiing System, CPU, Ram). Also, please specify where do you play resulted file. If in Windows Media Player what version do you have?

I am having the bad karate effect on a particular 45 min mpg file in the edit program when I add a second (overlay) line of video. I made a two camera video. If I take out the overlay line the bad lip sync on the video from the main camera disappears (at least it is acceptable). When I put the overlay back in the sync is so bad it's comical. At this point the video is useless unless this can be fixed. The cameras are both identical Canon FS100's and the video files have had nothing done to them except transferring them from the camera. The volume is turned down to 0 on the overlay file. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,

Please give the details about the problem.

Does sync problem persist only on preview in AVS Video Editor or in produced file as well?

Please specify your PC configuration - Operating system, CPU, Ram.

Regards.

After lots of experimentation, this is what it boils down to. If there is an overlay video, there will be a sync problem in both it and the main video. If I remove a section of overlay, the sync on the main video without overlay is perfect, however the sync on the remaining overlay video sections remain poor, EVEN THOUGH THE VOLUME ON THE OVERLAY AUDIO IS TURNED DOWN TO ZERO SO THAT IT CAN NOT BE HEARD. These effects remain even when I burn a produced video, or perhaps get a little worse. (I have Windows XP, 4gb RAM, CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200@2.53ghz)

We have just released new version AVS Video Editor 5.2.2.173, so please try to use and see if sync problem persists. Please reinstall the whole AVS software suite using the instructions here.

I am experiencing an audio sync problem as well. I copy the DVD with AVS DVD copy 4.1.2 to my harddrive, and then convert the file using AVS Video Converter 7.1. I'm trying to convert VTS_01_0.IFO file to the preset Apple iPod - (MPEG04, 320X240) setting. It doesn't matter what DVD I try to convert, the audio still does not match. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit. I am playing the video in Apple iTunes 10.1.2.17. I do not have any old AVS programs installed on this computer. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for the details. We need to test the issue on the same PC configuration. Do you convert usuall DVD movies or DVD's from camera, dvd recorder?

Also, if you have some previous version of AVS programs please reinstall all the software using the instructions here..

I've just converted regular DVD movies, not ones from a camera or DVD recorder. No previous versions of any AVS programs are installed. Thanks for your time.

Sorry, but the reason of the problem is still not clear.

Again, I'm asking you to reinstall the software using the instructions in the post above and try converting again. Which exact preset for iPod do you select? with MPEG 4 or H.264 video codec? Please try them both. Also, try playing resulted mp4 file in another player.

I have the same problem. The only way I amended it was by taking the file into a video editing program (I use trakAx), which automatically separates the video track from the audio track, and then sliding the audio track back until it matched the video.

Hi. I'm having a trouble in converting .wmv, .mkv, .mp4 videos/movies into .avi. At beginning of the movie/video the audio is synced with the video but then as the movie/video continues the audio begins to delay. I need your help. ;-)

Hello,

Please make sure you are using the latest version of AVS Video Converter.

If the issue persists, try to provide some additional information on the issue:
- specify the origin of the input files;
- please specify whether the input files playback correctly on preview of AVS Video Converter and in players on your PC;
- specify whether the output files playback incorrectly in all players on your PC;
- specify your PC configuration (OS,CPU, Ram).

Best regards

I had posted this issue to support back in March of this year and tried following it up as directed by support.
I uploaded the FLV that was having trouble and did not hear anything back and still waiting.
Could my ticket have been lost somehow?

I had registered for a 1 year subscription and that ran out today and I have had this sync issue along with another issue where the converter would disappear during the conversion.

I just now downloaded the the video converter again to try and see if there had been any fixes in the latest build but still have the same sync issue.

I am attaching the FLV file for your convenience. It has someone talking in the bottom corner so you can see the out of sync issue.

Are the codecs Converter 6 uses tied to the program itself or does it use other CODECs that might interfere with the proper opperation.

i had an instance of FFDShow and Klite codec packs installed at one time and did not know if that could cause a conflict.
Any troubleshooting to see what might be interfereing would be helpful.

Thanks for any assistance.

I will also post this message to my support ticket as well.

There possibly is a file size limit on uploads as it did not seem that the file uploaded correctly.

You might try getting the file from here:
