I suppose you use AVS Video Converter 7.0.1.449, not AVS Video Editor...

Please give some more details about the problem:

- specify exact formats which you converted FROM/ TO.

- do you select your own output settings or use presets in AVS Video Converter?

- specify in which media player you play resulted videos.

- do you have old versions or some old AVS programs installed on your computer?

Yes, that's right, Video Converter, not Editor.

I'm converting from an MPEG 2 file transferred from TiVo. (Used WinTivoDecode to convert from .tivo to .mpg, which isn't really a conversion, but simply removes propritary TiVo Stuff.

This is somewhat unrelated, but may give a clue as to where the incompatibility lies... I have purchased the Tivo Desktop software, which allows me to actually convert the .tivo files for use on portables. If I do this actual conversion first, then re-convert in AVS Video Converter, the final video is fine.

The sync issues seem to only occur when processing the file with WinTivoDecode first. However, I am forced to do this, because all of the "portable" profiles in the TiVo Desktop software reduce the video dimensions and quality.

No older vesrsions of AVS installed, this is a new PC.

Problem occurs regardless of which player I use for playback (WMP, Zune, VLC, etc.)

I am primarly trying to change the .tivo to a .mpg using TiVo Decode, then use AVS to convert from .mpg to DVD using the AVS presets.

Attachments show source file windows file properties, as well as AVS properties of source file.

There seems to be the issue converting mpg files produced by WinTivoDecode. Make sure such files are correct and do have sync issue originally. If the files are all right, please send us one example. You can upload the example file to our ftp-server, the instructions will be sent to you in our support system.

Ok, done. Sorry, I just saw the part about naming the file with First and Last name...

My file is named 09/22/2010 09:32AM 4,065,247,193 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turtles Forever.mpg


The audio is in sync in this source file, however, it becomes out of sync after conversion. It appears to be in sync at first, but the further into the converted video you get, the more out of sync it will become....

Almost seems like the difference between 29.97 and 30 fps or something like that. Just a guess. I don't know much at all about the detailed properties of these files.

Does it happen with all your flv files of with certain only? Which exact profile with output settings do you select when convert to Divx/xviD?

A couple of days ago I installed video converter onto my media PC and converted a 7GB MKV to a DL dvd.
After 6 hours it completed, but the sound sync is way out :(

I have since tried installing the trial version (because i have used my licence on the Media machine now ) onto my Alienware Laptop and tried again. This time it only took 40 minutes and the audio is fine... But i have the trail watermark of course

I have sent a message to customer support to see if I can move my licence and await a reply but assuming that is not possible I am posting to see if anyone has any ideas on what caused the audio sync issue, maybe I can alter something on the Media machine? I suspect the Media machine is just not up to the job.

Media machine: Intel Ion Atom 330 1.6Ghz Dual Core CPU with 4GB ram (3GB usable) 60GB SSD Hard drive and a dell Perc 6i Raid card with 8 640GB hard drives in 2 raid 5 arrays.

Alienware Laptop: Intel I7 Quad + 8GB DDR3 and 2 x 240GB SSD drives.

Does anyone have any ideas on getting things working on the Media machine?

Hello,

Please note that license issues are not discussed on the forum according to the rules. You query has been answered in our support system.

As for the sync issue, most probably it is the problem converting certain mkv file. Please make sure it is in sync originally. Please attach a screenshot of your mkv file properties (Advanced>Convertion options tab). Do you have sync problem converting only this one mkv file or other files too?

Thanks for the reply. The sync on the MKV file is fine. The sync is also fine when converted using the Quad core machine. I have attached the screen shot requested.

The video looks fine in AVS Video editor, then I produce the file in AVI format, when I view the AVI file the sound and video start becoming out of sync about half way through. so the process on the video editor that takes the compilation of video, sound music, works fine before the production of the AVI file but is out of sync after the AVI file is produced.

Are you sure that the whole project in sync on the preview in AVS Video Editor? Some times time stamps can of video can became wrong can be when reducing or trimming clips...

If everything us ok on preview we will need your files to identify and fix the problem.

I am having an isssue where the Audio and Video are not in sync on the latest version on the video editor. I tried in DVD mode and AVI mode and I get the same results. I look at other postings but all resolution sseemed to only be wait for the new release. can someone help?

New to this posting stuff, I might have miss posted in the wrong area,

The original files are in sync, I converted the project to a AVI format and a DVD format. in both cases about half way through the video and the audio slowly became out of sync, the was close to 40 mins. Each of the original file that were included in the project has their own audio file that were in sync before there conversion.

So I uninstalled the program, deleted the information in the regedit and reloaded a received program and received the same result.

File format AVI : mpeg-4 (dix,Xvid) 1500 kbps; audio mp3, 192kbps
