Synch prfoblems also when convedrtying to MPEG. According to the forum this problem has existed for yeras. Is it goping tgo be solved or have we all bought a lemon?

It is not a permanent issue. The problem may arise converting only some broken or non-standard files. Most bugs with such files have been fixed in the latest version, therefore please make sure you have the latest version. Reinstall the software following the instructions here.

If it does not solve the issue, please specify the format of the files you are trying to convert and their origin. Do you have sync problem just with certain files or with any file of any format?

Dear Sir/madam,
3 days ago I bought an umlimited subsription of the AVS Tools just to convert Bluray files to HD Avi files.
My first tests with different bitrates for video and audio are unusable because the audio is not in sync with the video !
I'am using the newest video-converter (7.1.3.484) under a new installation of Windows 7 ultimate / 64Bit.
Proc is I7-K2600, 16GB memory.
I'v testet the original HD-Avi Setting(4200kbps), HD-Avi Setting mit video bitrate changed to 10000(kbps), 11000(kbps)
and audio 192,256 and 320 kbps.

I bought the software because of the very easy handling but if that functionality does not work I won't need it and will buy an other on.

I've been having the same problem, but only when converting flvs from BBC iPlayer. So far I've tried avi and mkv conversions. This seems only just to have happened. Files I've converted in the past from the BBC have been fine. I've just upgraded to Video Converter 8 and seem to be having the same problems.

Do you know what the issue is and can you fix it?

I also am having this problem; except with version 8.0.4

More often than not, when using AVS Video to convert from the DVD5 format, audio is out of sync in the converted file. This happens no matter what container I am converting to (see attached screenshots for AVI and MKV conversion).

When is AVS4You finally getting their act together?

Note: I tested the very same file at a friend who works with DVDFab - and no problem whatsoever !

Please try using the latest version AVS Video Converter 8.1 which can be downloaded from this link.. I would recommend you to reinstall AVS software using the instructions here.

If it does not help, please give the following detials about the problem:

- do you have this problem converting one certain DVD or several your DVD's?

- have you tried converting to existing presets? I see you always set your own settings for output.

Thanks for the prompt response. Whatever else can be said about the firm, you support guys are on top of things.

Proceeded as requested. Updated to v8.1.1. and made the conversion once more; this time with one of your presets coming closest to the orginal (see attachment).

As feared, the out-of-sync with your preset comes out even worse

Hello,

In the latest screenshot I see you converted your DVD to HD video preset. I would not recommend you doing it as DVD is not HD Video. Please use standard quality profiles.

Also, could you please specify your PC configuration - operating system, CPU, Ram?

Well, DVDFab works w/o a cinch with just such a coniguration, quite similar to your HD preset shown in the screenshot.

But for the sake of the community I will give this one more try and come back to you.

Looking at your presets, it is not clear which ones you do consider "Standard". Pls advise; also what the resulting quality (resolution et al) will be on that standard

For converting DVD's I would recommend you to set the preset Video: H.264/AVC, 1200 kbps; Audio: MP3,192 kpbs. in both AVI and MKV.

I recently re-installed the AVS4You suite.
I have a blue ray video file that I converted to DVD format. I have noticed that when I convert the file that the sound no longer is synced with the video.

I checked the original file and it is fine.

I tried with other files and discovered this is happening with any video file I attempt to convert.

How do I correct this? I do not see a setting to adjust the audio to video synchronization.

If it can not be done is there a way to download the older version of the suite because it worked fine.
