Some major updates are not shown in the Update Manager's list, but you are able to download the new versions from our download page.

Please, download the file, unpack exe into C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSDVDCopy folder
It will resolve the issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I'm getting "Access Violation at address 004D0852 in module "AVSVideoConverter.exe". Read of Address 000000028." while trying to convert an MKV file to MP4. I'm at the latest version of VideoConverter. Any suggests as to what I could do to get around this?

It wasn't showing that I needed an update when I ran the AVS updater though.

I just realised the same thing: I've been checking for updates every now and then with version 6.... of video converter, and it doesn't say there's a whole new version available.

Great program btw, but if it could auto update to all the latest versions, not justincremental ones, that would be greater!

I too am having the exact same problem. Must be some bug in the system. So you have to totally uninstall and reinstall to get it to work everytime?? what a pain.

If the error appeared after installing latest updates, yes, you should reinstall the whole suite, however it is just one time reinstallation.

I tried 3 different mkv-files; all 3 files played perfect in" Media Player Classic".
Converting to avi-format gives me for 2 files an error ("Access Violation at address 004D0852 in module "AVSVideoConverter.exe")
For the third file: everything worked perfect. Strange ...

Please upload one of mkv files (converting which you get error) to our ftp-server.

The upload of one of the files is completed. For the case somthing went wrong during the upload, I put in annex 2 nzb-files ("De Ronde S01E02 720p.nzb" is the one I renamed in my name and send to the FTP server; " De Ronde S01E03 720p.nzb" is the other file that gave exactly the same error during the convertion.

Regards
