Hello,

We are ready to solve the issue, but for that, we need the input file. That will help us to reproduce the error.
Please, upload it to our FTP server. I will send the detailed information to your e-mail.

Best Regrads.

I have the converter 6 version but get an error with a bunch of weird symbols. I'm not sure if the file is corrupted. I'v used it several times before to convert DVDs. Can anyone give me some advise on what to do?

When i convert a dvr-ms file to avi the convertion stops at 77,19% and simply hangs. Nothing happens. Did anyone heard about this? I just purchased the converter.

First of all, please note that output file size can get reduced when you choose lower quality conversion settings.

funbobby:
it only comes in One 200mb file

Please could you specify what exactly you mean by "one file". The fact is, when you convert to DVD, the appropriate DVD structure must get created: VIDEO_TS (containing .ifo, .bup and .vob files) and AUDIO_TS folder which is empty, as a rule. Which files do you see in VIDEO_TS folder after conversion? If the movie has been converted partially, please specify which part of the movie is missing.

Also please provide us with some input and output file information. Add your AVI files to the program once again, choose the preset needed, then click on Advanced > File Information and make a screenshot of this window. Please attach the screenshot here.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Are you using the latest version of AVS Video Converter (v.6.2.5.334)? If not, please update AVS files following Start > Programs > AVS4YOU > AVS Update Manager.

If the problem persists, please could you provide information on your input and output file settings. Open the source file in the program, choose the preset, then click on Advanced > File Information and make a screenshot. Attach it here.

Thank you in advance

i am reading all the posts where are the answers? My program is crashing too. Not all the time but some of the it is so frustrating.
There should be a way to retrieve the program rather than it disappears into thin air.

If there is a way - please let me know..

First of all, make a repairing procedure for ActiveX-libraries and tell us, if there will be some errors.
Please, run special utility:
- for Windows 32-bit:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe
- for Windows 64-bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

Please, also provide us some additional information:
- application name (AVS Video Converter or AVS Video Editor);
- name of your antivirus or firewall with sandbox;
- used profile (preset): video format, video/audio codecs and parameters;
- screenshots of errors;
- the moment of the crash - after what actions or at what progress.
