Hi. I get a crash when converting more than 3 or 4 DVR-MS files at a time. The first one to three files gets converted fine but the video converter crashes every single time at file 2 to 4. I have attached an image with the settings. Nothing comples. MP4, PSP setting and converting regular TV DVR-MS files of 1h and 5 mins each. I tried with many different set of files but there is always that problem. I currently have the latest version of AVS video converter as of yesterday and windows Vista home premium SP1.

I have attached images of the AVS settings as well as OS/machine info.

In my case, there are no problem files. They all convert fine one by one if I close the program in between. It is only when I convert 4+ at a time that it crashes. i.e. The number of 1h dvr-ms files is the problem, not the file content.

I saw in an other thread that this was a memory leak and it was going to be fixed in a future release. Can I have a version number / release date ? Thanks.

I try to convert a big (9 Gbytes) dvr-ms file into .wmv
I tried first 2 days ago with the non-registered free version of AVS Video Converter. After the output file has reached about 900 Mbytes, AVS Video Converter V6 crashed with a message like (translated from french) "AVS has to shut down, sorry for inconvenience...".
Conversion of smaller dvr-ms files was OK.
Yesterday, I bought the licence and have now a registered version. But the same problem occurred. I tried to download the latest version again, same problem occurs.
When I try to split the output file, the first .wmv (about 640 Mbytes) is OK, but then the second one crashes at about 300 Mbytes.

Any idea of what's going on ? is there any limitation on the size of the input file ?

Morever, on the resulting .wmv, the audio has a significant (several seconds) delay with respect to the video.
Any idea to correct this ?

i have your newest video converter installed and use it primarily to convert movies onto my ipod touch either in mpeg4 or h.264 format, I also have your tv box converter and audio converter installed and a few others as well, I've been using DVD decrypter to to make one large VOB file and a small IFO file that goes with it. When I play the VOB file using nero the movie plays fine to the end the only issue i am having is the duration of the movie is short by an hour numerically. So in essence i am being told by this media player the movie is only an hour long when it really is two.

So when i use AVS video converter v.6 it gives me a format error with the IFO file so i have to use the VOB file to convert. It converts just fine except it only gives me the first hours worth of the video so i'm left with half a movie.

i used another ipod converter called videora and it also claimed that the movie was only an hour long except it actually converted the entire movie.

I use the default settings on the avs converter so not quite sure whats going on.

I've tried splitting the vob file into chunks but still had the same issue.

Any thoughts?

My cell phone makes 3G2 files, but when the AVS converter (v6) or the AVS loads them, I get only the first 48 seconds or so of a five minute video. This is the way they are loaded.

After converting, I get a WMV file that is also truncated to 48 seconds. The video plays as 5 minutes with Quicktime, and on my cell phone; its only AVS that truncates.

I tried some other video editing software, and got a similar result. So, I guess the header for 3G2 files mimics some other format, and it gets the wrong time if it's interpreted as that other format. Quicktime 7.5.5 understands this format, but I haven't found something yet that supports 3G2. When will AVS support this?

Please precise the input file source (DVD disc, hard drive etc...)
Then, please launch AVS Video Converter, choose the input file, press Edit button and try to preview the video you chose.

I am running AVS Video Conveter 6.2.3.320 under Windows XP Professional SP3.
I am trying to convert a 4 minute FLV file to mpg.
Have tried different profiles. The resulting file size is 4 KB (4096) bytes.
What am I doing wrong? Or, what have you done wrong?
