Please make sure that you have the latest version AVS Video Converter 6.4.3.419. It can be downloaded from this link.

It should solve the problem.

I dont get what you dont understand, I have a bunch of movies saved in vob format from dvd decrypter using stream information. I bought avs4you so i could convert them to dvd format so I can burn video's

I input the movie I want to convert-it is in vob format
I choose the dvd format button to make the conversion
I pick my own folder to put the converted file in

the problem occurs when I hit the 'convert now' button...nothing happens! in fact the Convert Now button is still clickable

What should I do??? I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, useing different files, and trying all the format selections. This thing wont run

Maybe I'm confused, but last time I checked, .VOB is DVD format. Open up a DVD and you'll see .VOB files in there. You don't need to convert .VOB to .VOB!

I downloaded the trial version of AVS VideoConverter 6 to see if it would help me convert some AVIs captured from a GoToWebinar session, as no other program I know of can handle the codec Citrix uses. Everything worked like a charm with the demo, so I purchased the program with the hope that I'll be able to expedite the conversion process from now on.

The only problem is AVS VideoConverter won't do anything with the file now that it's been activated. I load up the exact same footage I used with the demo, and click the ConvertNow! button and nothing happens at all. Any tips for me, or am I out of luck?

Actually the non-activated versions of AVS software do no differ from the activated ones, exept for the watermark placed on the movies created with the trial programs. Therefore it would be great if you sent us an example of the file you have not managed to convert. The instruction has been sent to you on the support page.

Thank you

Thanks for your quick reply! I actually couldn't get any filetype to convert, so I double checked to make certain that I was using the latest version, even though I had just installed off of the registration email early last week. The AVS Update Manager pulled down the latest version and this seemed to clear everything up for me.

Thanks again, AVS Video Converter is working wonders for our GoToWebinar sessions!

I'd be glad to help you, but in order to find out what is causing the problem, some more information is required. Do you get an error as soon as the burning starts? Please could you describe what is happening in more detail.

It is also necessary to know:
1. the OS installed on your PC;
2. burning settings you selected to write the disc;
3. the disc type used (manufacturer, speed);
4. the model of your burner.

You can also attach log. files which were created after unsuccessful burning. These files contain the complete information on the burning process. To find them, please follow:
for Vista - C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoBurner\logs
for XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[User]\Application Data\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoBurner\logs\

Please zip them prior to attaching.

Also make sure you are using the latest version of the program.

Looking forward to hearing from you

This advice worked great fro me ASV Video Editor 6.5. Thanks

Hi, I am trying to convert a 500mb .mov file to WMV, but when I click 'convert now' it converts into a very small 10kb file that does not load. I've tried other outputs as well, same problem. Any help you can give?

Dear user,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC following the instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it.

3. Download and install the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
