I am using avs video converter version 6.3.1.367 and I am also having audio - video synchronization problems from Video_ts IFO files to AVI, or to burn to DVD.. no matter what type of profile I choose I always get the same result - an out of synch audio-video. The audio is 1--7 seconds behind the video depending how far into the file you are. Has Any one found a solution to this problem? it seems from reading over the forums that this problem is well known, documented, and is not isolated to one or two users. Come ON .. What do you burn to DVD? Result AVI?
Unfortunately there're lots of video files in web which were created according to wrong specs.
You can send the file with the whole info.
It will help to resolve the problem.

I have been having problems with the output videos. I have a video of a talking head. Video and Audio are NOT separate tracks. The audio and video seem to get out of sync (talking head) when I save the videos (they are not out of sync in the source video).

The video has a mixture 1920x1080 hi-res QT video, 1024x768 Screen captured .mp4, and 1024x768 highres .jpgs

Any advice on the settings I should be using to create/save a video to ensure the speakers lips do not lose sync with the audio?

Could you please import just one QT file into the program, preview it and save to any format. If the output video gets out of synch, please right-click the file imported in the program, open Properties and attach a screenshot of this window here.

Specify the origin of these files.

If the output file is OK, delete the QT file from timeline, import one of your MP4 files instead and do the same. If this file gets desynchronized, we need information on its parameters.

This is required to find out which files exactly are causing the problem reported.

I am having the same problems converting to AVI. I have a DLINK media player with limited codec ability so I am converting all videos to XVid MPEG 4 format 720x576p
The audio drifts progressively further out of sync as movie continues.
Approximately 3 seconds out by the end of this video. How do I get this output codec working correctly?

Are the original videos correct, i.e. do you notice no desync problems when playing them back on your PC? Do they have the same format and origin?

I face exactly the same problems as described above using a registered and up-to-date version of Video Converter 6. You can also see the video-audio synch-drift when you import the the video into Video Editor 4 (or just by using the editor tool (F4) in Video Converter 6). Hence, you don't need to convert the file to reproduce the problem.

I have a similar problem with most of the files (95% have the same problem, at times it does work) I try to convert from mkv to avi. Pls suggest.

Enclosed is the requested screenshot. I am using a DVT-B Mobile TV Tuner using Windows Media Center on Vista to record. The recorded file format is dvr-ms.

I have the same problem. I am converting fron dvr.ms to mpg it is also out of sync.
I was sent a copy of the .dll which I installed. It did make it better. Sync is closer, but still out.

What would myou like me to do?

I am using Windows 7. Converting from WTV tpo dvr.ms using the built in convertor. (very fast). The file plays fine on my PC.

how sad to see all these sync problems after all these months
I used to get them when I made edits to a file
BUT NOW
all I did was convert the file to flash
(highest default quality)
and the talking heads were sooooooooooooooo far out of sync,
I could not even tell if the sounds were early or late
(this =problem has been here since I bough the program - over 1 year ago?

To solve the problem, please saveAVSWMVFile3.dll attached in the following thread to C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX, run repair.exe from this folder and try converting your DVR-MS file once again.
Please inform us about the results.

These are the problems with certain files, which still can occur, because it's impossible to prevent synch problem for all of them.
But, we are constantly improving our software.

Please use the latest version AVS Video Converter 6.3.3.371 to convert files from your camcorder to flash format.

Just like everyone else on this forum I and also having problems with the audio sync when converting avi files to DVD. I also downloaded the patch file you put up and ran the 'repair' function as suggested. This has not fixed the problem and furthermore there was an error message in the repair window - see attached screen dump. Is this a problem that every person experiences when purchasing your software? There appears to be alot of unhappy customers getting around. Can you please assist with fixing my sound sync issues also and advise what the attached error is all about.
