Hi, when I create an AVI file from a DVD source the sound starts out syncronized but gets out of sync further into the movie. What is causing this?

Does not matter which file I use or DVD I use, or which output settings I choose. Converting any files to AVI results in a file with the sound not synchronized. I can convert to wmv or other formats without issue. I mainly bought this thing to convert to AVI.

Here's a screenshot, a even tried with matching settings. No difference. I have the latest K-lite codec pack installed and the latest DIVX.

Hello,

Thank you for the information. We found the error and are sure to solve it. But that will take some time.

At the moment, please try to use our preestablished presets, not custom one.

Unfortunately, none of the presets work either.

I did more testing, any source seems to be affected. From .mkv or other format to .avi the sound gets out of sync also.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the information.
Please, make the similar screenshot of the Advanced file information but with the .mkv format as an input file.

Best Regards

I just bought this software. The reason I bought it was for the Video Converter. My problem is the same. I can't convert without the sound being out of sync. When do you expect to have this fixed. Please advise.

I have the same issue!

I have AVI files and MPG files that either lose the audo track or have it shifted 5-10 seconds late.

This happens when I convert to ANY format using ANY preset.

Almost all my AVIs and MPEGS are encoded using either Pinnacle Studio or Muvee autoProducer. I can upload a sample AVI for you to check out if you want. I have un-installed and reinstalled, used presets from every format, and sent screenshots.

The originals work fine in media player. Using a different software product (Movkit Batch Converter trial version), I can successfully convert the files, but not with AVS Video Coverter version 6.

Any suggestions?

-Mike

*SORRY*I bought the program to convert files and have the same out of sync problem. I am frustrated. It is obviously a problem since so many people are having the problem. Does the program work, and if not, do you offer a refund? Video conversion was the only reason a spent the money.

Hi, here is the snapshot of the settings from MKV to AVI. I did the same to MP4 with no issue, but to AVI the same Out of Sync sound problem. I try to match the settings as much as possible but the results are the same.

I'll try with various codecs to see if the results are the same.

Success, I did a test with a different codec using the Microsoft mp4 codec from the drop down list and the sound is syncronized. So it appears that the problem is with the DIVX/xvid option. I haven't tested with all the other codecs yet. Maybe others could try another one and post results.

Hello!

All my files are uploaded. I realized that I had only uploaded the originals, and not the out-of-sync conversions. I just uploaded three of them - I hope they can help you to help me!

I'm hopeful and am waiting to hear back from you.

It`d be interesting to know the results.

Thank you for the files. We reproduced the issue. That is solved for the AVI format.

The updated version of the AVS Video Converter 6 will be available on the site in some days.

But at the moment you can download the attached AVSAVIFile3.dll and place it following:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX

After you pasted the dll into the appropriate folder, you will be asked whether you want to overwrite/replace it. Say YES.

Please inform us about the result.

We will be obliged to you, if you also upload to the FTP the MPEG file, you wanted to convert. That will help us to avoid the similar issue with mpegs.

Best Regards.

(The .dll has been deleted, as it has been included into the latest update. Update AVS files following Start > Programs > AVS4YOU > AVS Update Manager)
