Hello,

In order to solve this problem, please repair AVS files:

1. Close all AVS programs and other running applications.

2. Follow Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Repair.

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Best regards.

Hello,

Try disabling external codecs, perhaps, some of them are broken and causes the program to freeze at the start. For it, run the attached .reg file from the archive.

If it does not help, please specify your laptop configuration - Operating System, CPU, Ram.

Best regards.

It didn't help. My operating system is Windows 7, i use a dell latitude e6500 laptop, and my ram is 4 GB, 3.49 useable. I recently noticed on my laptop the error that the bcdeosk.dll could not be found, attached is a screen capture of it. would this have any relation to avs video editor doesn't work?

Sorry for the late response.

Bcdeosk.dll is not connected with our software. So it should not be the reason of the error. Try also deleting files in the directory C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor and launch AVS Video Editor again. Please note that the folder AppData is hidden, so you should check "Show hidden files and folders" in My Computer>Organise>Search and Folder options>View.

Regards.

Problem - To MP4 (lockedGrey) to MPEG (lockedGrey) to Blu-ray (Sometimes crashes program with "abnormal program termination", sometimes with a .dll error, Menu (lockedGrey). Favorites (lockedGrey).

After countless uninstalls, reinstalls of your latest version of AVS Converter I'm finally forced to post here.

After reading every post in this thread, and trying every avenue, I'm still not being able to get it to work.

Even did a reinstall of Windows7.

Strange thing is, before the reformat, it worked fine. It works fine on my computer in the other room on the identical OS. Hardware is significantly different though.

This machine uses a 2nd gen SSD for the OS. My other computer does not. I can't see this being a problem with the SSD because everything else is working properly and worked properly before. In addition, I was using the same hardware before and after the reformat, so nothing has changed.

I tried removing all of the corresponding registry entries, and even some not mentioned here.
I tried your "free" registry cleaner that does nothing but SCAN for files (waste of time!).
I followed the steps successfully in the manual removal of registry entries. (didn't fix it)
I did the repair function more times than I can count. (didn't fix it)
I tried re-downloading the program, 4 times. (didn't fix it)
I deleted everything out of my C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor folder - after uninstall. And again after install. And again, and again, and again in many variations. Not working.
I cleaned every trace of this program off both of my hard drives, because I use one for programs, and one for my OS. As I do on my other computer. (AVS Video Converter works fine there), although when I did a repair for fun on that computer, it still came up with 2 problematic .dll's BUT the program still works flawlessly.
I downloaded some of the .dll files offered here to replace mine, no luck.
I tried everything.

Heres a list of the .dll's that cannot load, or aren't being repaired:

AVSAudioCompress5.dll
AVSAudioTransform4.dll
AVSAudioTransformEX4.dll
AVSBluRayFiles.dll
AVSBluRayFinalizer.dll
AVSDPGFile3.dll
AVSImageVideoFile3.dll
AVSIntelMediaSDK.dll
AVSMobileDevice2ActiveSync.dll
AVSMobileDevice2UMS.dll
AVSNSVFile3.dll
AVSPCMCodec.dll
AVSQTCodec.dll
AVSQuickTimeFile3.dll
AVSShellConverter64.dll
AVSTSFile3.dll
AVSVPXCodec.dll
AVSWTVFile3.dll

Error messages are ,"abnormal program termination" when I click on To Blu-ray. And "Access violation at adress 02E39548 in module "AVSBluRayFile3.dll. Read of address 00000008.".

Thank you so much Al, solved all of my issues. I wondered if it was a problem with C++ because of all the recent MS updates...

Thank you again, and I appreciate the excellent support provided here.

I meant delete the files from this directory, not run....

If you get such error during installation, perhaps, UAC in Windows 7 blocks installation. Your user account must have administrator rights to install AVS Video Editor (is is mentioned on our website in system requirements). So, please make sure that user account, under which you install the program, has administrator rights. Run setup file in the following way - click right mous button on it and choose Run as Administrator in the context menu.

I hope it helps.

Best regards.

I have a registered download of AVS Video Editor and have edited my own movie however when I proceed to produce it, it stops at 44.8% each time and does not produce the whole movie.

I have tried various formats when producing with no luck please help
