I can't even believe that nobody beta-tested this garbage before releasing it to the general public...
...I can say for one that if I had the option to forfeit my Key, and take a full refund, then I would do so in a heartbeat.

This software use to be great... Now, it is HORRIBLE.

The functions in the software don't work.
I have video proof, filmed on 2 separate days.

https://vid.me/hKjs
https://vid.me/eRcT

In addition to these, the software just loves to crash randomly.
...If you're thinking, "maybe it's your system's hardware" you would be wrong..
I am running an Intel Quad-Core i5 4690K with 8GB of RAM, as well as an Asus AMD Radeon R9 280 videocard with 3GB VRAM, on a MSI PC Mate motherboard and over 500 GB of free HDD space...

Have I tried old versions? Yes.
How many old versions did I try? Many.
Did any of them work better than the current? None of the recent previous ones that I tried.

...All I wanted was a good program for editing my great videos... It can't even muster that...

Hi Nikk!

Try these steps to perform a clean install of AVS Software.

In order to solve this problem please repair AVS files: close all AVS programs and other running applications >> copy the following link to the address bar of My Computer window and press <Enter>:

32bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe
64bit PC: %COMMONPROGRAMFILES(x86)%\AVSMedia\ActiveX\Repairing.exe

If some of the *.dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to me.

Also it will be more convenient to continue the correspondence in our Support System.

I'd recommend you to try the following:

<1> Check the updates for your OS. Install the updates if necessary.

<2> Update drivers of the graphics card. Also, please specify whether your PC uses two graphics cards or not (name the manufacturer and models).

Please continue the correspondence in our Support System.

This AVS video editor fails p[em FLV file or any MP4 file, consistently given error message which is untrue, e.g. "read only" (archive bit was set properly and access was set to ALL etc.

I had the same problem, I paid good money for the whole suite thinking I was dealing with pros here, but I got fed up doing THIS vendors job by troubleshooting their dodgy SW then was promised a full refund yet NEVER received it so the situation now is that I got $52.95 stolen by AVS4YOU since they blocked my serial immediately after offering my refund but NEVER refunded me... I asked about it and NEVER got a reply!!!

What kind of monkeys work there? This place is a total scam!

Here is their email dated 24/8/18:
