Just decoding? So that means we can open H.265, but not export to H.265, which is the opposite of what I need. I'm converting other formats to H.265 to reduce the size of my collection.

For now I"ll be using 'other' software...

Let us introduce our new versions AVS Video Converter 11.0.1.632 and AVS Video Editor 9.0.1.328 with support of decoding for new video codecs (in input files):
* H.265 (HEVC) codec for MP4, M4V, MOV and MKV formats;
* VP9 codec for MKV and WEBM formats.

These features work only in Windows 7/8/8.1/10.

There is no support of Opus audio codec for WEBM files with VP8/VP9 video at this moment - only Vorbis audio codec. The support of Opus audio codec for some formats is already in the plans...

Dear user,

At the the moment, H.265/HEVC codec is available only for MP4/M4V/MOV/MKV for the input.

Your suggestion will be forwarded to our developers.

Best regards

I'm still waiting for the export function of H.265. Seems like it is way past due!

I see from this forum that support for X265/HEVC input was introduced 05.01.19 after requests dating back to 2013.

Being as it took 6 years for your developers to introduce this for input only when can full support be expected to be implemented?

Many of my files are now using HEVC, which is now a widely used codec, the relevance of AVS4YOU is rapidly eroding due to this.

If asked I cannot be expected to recommend this suite as I must use a competitors software to edit using this codec.

NVIDIA GPUs have received support of HEVC decoding since 2014, and Intel GPUs - since 2016. But HEVC video files have become more popular only since 2017, when the newest Apple iPhone/iPad, Samsung Galaxy and other Android mainstream devices got support of HEVC encoding/decoding. We introduced support of HEVC decoding in AVS4YOU products in release 2018.12 (test alpha-version - since July 2018).

And since release 2021.08 you can edit your MP4/MOV/MKV/AVI video files with H.265/HEVC codec (merge, split or change format) with AVS Video ReMaker.
Please, download and use the actual version.

Hi RomanN,

Thank you for your post.

If you check the support site WRT my X265/HEVC query you will see that I have used the latest version of the ReMaker program..

I followed the recommendations of Joshka in the 1/25/2022 post with the result shown in my followup 1/26/2022.

The overlap and pixilation problem was not present when I edited the X264 version of the file.

As can be seen from the earlier screenshot (1/23/2022) top left corner. ReMaker version 6.6 the "Actual Version" was already in use.
