I need to master an audio book I'm narrating. However, I'm having difficulty figuring how the nomenclature ACX uses and applying it to the compressor in Audio Editor.

My submitted files need to be between -23dB and -18dB RMS with peaking hovering around -3dB. I used the compressor function successfully but I'm not sure what to set the Threshold at. I believe it should be -23dB but the sound volume is pretty low.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks!

Dear Kris,

Regarding this issue we recommend you to change the value for Db experimentally following the instruction http://onlinehelp.avs4you.com/AVS-Audio-Editor/Working/EffectsFilters/AmplitudeEffects/Amplify.aspx.

Please let us know about the result.

Best regards
