Hi all

I am writing because I'm looking for a program to convert a lot of .flv file to .avi or .mpg, maybe that automatically choose the best setting.

I've already tried Pazera Free FLV to AVI Converter, Total Video Converter and Xilisoft Video Converter but both give the same result: audio is not synchronized with the video.

I have looked for other programs and I tried Media Coder (It give me an error like "incorrect parameters for lame mp3"), Riva Encoder (convert only one file at time), Super (Gives me a System incompatibility error), media-convert.com (online convertion so very slow), Free FLV Converter 1.3 (very slow), Any Video Converter e Simple Mencoder Shell GUI (create a speed up video with an audio not synchronized).

Really I don't know what to do now, maybe my PC has a problem?
Does someone has an idea to convert them in the right way?

Thank you.

Hello,

AVS Video Converter is supposed to do the job with no problem whatsoever, as it was specially developed for that purpose.

Yet, to be absolutely on the safe side, you may download AVS Video Converter and test it yourself to see if it does the job properly.

Hello,

In fact if you want just to play your video FLV files, you can use AVS DVD Player for that.

If you want to convert FLV to MP4, please:

1. Launch AVS Video Converter 6 and Press To MP4 button on the Main Toolbar
2. Enter Input File Name and Output File Name
3. Select MP4 Profile.
4. Press the Convert Now! button

Hi,

It seems from discussion above that this support (flv to bunch of other formats) is not there in AVS currently. Could you suggest if this is on the roadmap of AVS development as buying another product for flv conversions doesn't seem to be the best idea.Is it a legal or tech constraint due to which this support hasn't been built into the system...... Kindly throw some light which can help in making an apt decision on accomplishing this conversion.

Am not able to convert flv files

Thank you for the file. We have tested it and found solution for your problem.

Please download the newest version of AVS Video Converter following the link.

Also please save the file attached to the following directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX
If you are asked whether you would like to replace/overwrite the existing file, please click on Yes.

After that try to convert your file once again using the latest version of the program.
Please inform us on the result.

Best regards.

(The .dll has been deleted, as it has been included into the latest update. Update AVS files following Start > Programs > AVS4YOU > AVS Update Manager)

Hi Nadin, It's great to see that now it works, although I could see just one exception where the audio and video were not in synch in the avi whereas were in synch in original flv. In the converted avi- audio preceded video by around 3seconds.

This happened only once with one of the flvs rest all got converted wonderfully.

Many thanks and if I see the lack of synch frequently - will surely contact you again.

gr8 work.

bye for now
