Towards the end of the video they are lagging (not huge) but you can spot the lag.

Tried viewing this file on two very different laptops (a fairly high spec sony with windows 7 64 bit and a fairly low spec toshiba netbook with windows xp)

Cmon guys help us out!!!!

Our developers are working on the problem and it will be fixed in the nearest future. I'm just asking you all guys to wait.

Great News - This looks like a brilliant product and I am looking forward to the updated version. Any (rough) estimates on timescales?

I sent a note to support about this issue just now and then remembered this forum. Had to go hunt it down again. Now I have it bookmarked. Seems to me kinda like a no brainer for folks who understand this stuff, (which is like 23rd century chess to me). But if poor old bewhiskered CamStudio still works, then the fix has to be simple for the genius inventor of AVS Video Editor. I mean no disrespect! Just using imperious logic. I have a new spate of vids to do now, and would sure prefer to use AVS than poor old CamStudio for the capture. Not fussing. I promise. An update about the ETA for the update would be el mucho appreciated.

Just for fun I ran a screen capture on an online clock which gives audio cues.... The timeline goes like this:

30 seconds - video is one second ahead of the audio.
1.30 - 2 seconds
2.30 - 3 seconds
3.30 - 4 seconds
4.30 - 5 seconds

So, we're losing a steady second per minute.

Since Camstudio is working, then it would seem to point away from a common hardware glitch. So, how's it coming with the developer?

I'm sorry for kept waiting your so long.

Glad to inform you that our developers have fixed sync issue in AVS Screen Capture!

To solve it please download AVSScreenCapture.exe patch from the attachments, close all AVS applications, run the patch and follow the instructions. When the installation is complete, new updated software components will be installed on your computer. Then run EnableBufferMode.reg file from attached zip archive and try capturing video with AVS Screen Capture. Please inform us about the results.

To: It solved the sync problem but the resultant video is "jerky" (stalls then jumps to catch up), tried it in screen capture and also launched from video editor, tried it with buffer enable and buffer disable, same result each time.

Please check AVS Screen Capture>Settings>Video. Which format is selected there? Try capturing to other formats and see if the same problem persists.

It is jerky on preview in AVS Video Editor or in Screen Capture viewer? Please check captured video properties, (right click on a file in Media Library>Properties). Which resolution does it have?

Also, please specify your PC configuration (Operating System, CPU, Ram).

Now that the out-of-sync screen capture/audio has been fixed...I am also having problems with the video being jerky (like tomsf). It is jerky on both the AVS Video Editor and Screen Capture viewers.

Here are the captured video properties:
Size: 640 x 364
Aspect Ratio: 160 : 91
Framerate: 15 fps
Bitrate: 18666.451 kbps

Here is my PC configuration:
Windows Vista 32-bit operating system
AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00 GHz
3.00 GB of RAM

Which format do you capture video to? Try capturing to AVI (AVS Screen Capture>Settings>Video tab). Also, what source do you record? Actions on display or streaming video from internet?

I have tried changing the format to AVI - the video is still jerky. I was trying to record streaming video.

I'm have the exact same problem. Does not matter which format you record in.....still out sync.

The audio track did not record all my narrative. It stops about a 1/4 to a 1/3 before the video finishes.

The Screen Capture is the reason a purchased the software.

I know you are working on it, so thank you. Please keep us informed.

I can't complete my tutorials until this is fixed or I buy another problem.

I just thought of a way to show you my tutorial video and audio sync problem.

I can upload the file to my youtube account for a few days for you watch.

One other major problem is that while the audio does not sync with the video, about a 1/3 of the audio
is cut off. Example I narrate for 15 seconds but only 10 seconds will playback.

If agreeable, please let me know the best time to upload to YouTube. I don't want this unusable tutorial online for more than
a day or two.

- which format do you capture video to? Please try capturing to avi and see if the problem persists.
