hmm, for some reason my message didn't appear the first time...
Usually a video may be out of sync when framerate and audio bitrate do not match. Try recording in another format. You can also try and convert your file into another format with different framerate. Perhaps it will help.

Well I don't want to have to convert my file every time I make it. I think the software should work as is. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello,

Sorrry for the late response. As a workaround, please read the suggestion given by PirateNinja. re-converting with different frame rate may help to solve the problem.

Regards.

I am having the same issues, but I do not understand how changing the bitrate or framerate after the fact is going to help. I am recording a tutorial for a class I am teaching. My video is faster than my audio, but it also cuts my audio short. So I have been literally waiting 2-3 minutes after I am done talking before stopping the recording so that all my talking fits in the file. But the video is waaayyy to fast. Can I change those settings before I record? I can't seem to find those anywhere. Thanks.

I should mention...I just downloaded the version you mentioned and I am getting the same results.

Sorry for not adding this to the previous post, but I just figured I should give you a better example of what is happening. Let's say I start a screen capture. I record for maybe 10 seconds, I talk all ten seconds. When I stop the recording and play it back, I would have maybe 8 seconds recorded. All the video would be there, but my audio gets cut short. It seems the longer the video the longer I have to wait after I am done speaking to get all my voice to record. So for example a 2 minute video actually takes me about 4 min to record if I want all my content recorded. So converting after I record does me no good if all my content is not there.

How do I solve that?

Hello,
Reinstall the program following the instructions.
Do you launch AVS Screen Capture in AVS Video Editor or from Start Menu?
Please, try both variants.
Change the format you record to.
If it doesn't resolve the issue, specify your OS.
Looking for hearing from you.

Well, I have the same problem. Windows 7. Starting from the editor, which is the only way I know how to do. Seems like the longer the vid runs, the more out of sync it gets. The video gets further and further ahead of the audio. I have tried adjusting my script, but it's driving me el bonko...which is a short trip. I'll be glad to provide any kind of help I can for you on this issue.
Thanks
Norm

Hi Norm,
The first suggestion is to uninstall the software completely and install latest version of the Video Editor only
Launch the Screen Capture utility separately from Video Editor (Start>>All Pgms>>avs4you>>Video>>AVS Screen Capture)
Try working with different settings.
Do you have stereo mix choosen as audio source?

I have tried all the formats and while i have not tried all of the combinations it clearly does not work as it should when i said about improvements with tweaking i have made it less out of sync.
But it should just work that is I believe what i payed for I have now wasted many ours trying to get this to work.

I too have this problem with a Sony VAIO laptop with 6 Gb memory running windows 7. The video is ahead of the audio. Some of the audio ends up getting cut off as a result. This is simply using the AVS Video Editor "Capture Screen" method. This would be fantastic product if it could be fixed!!!

Tried recording all different file formats. Tried launching from start menu and as part of the video editing software. I can confirm that I have only ever installed one version (the one from last week from your website) - the version you have listed (5.2.1.170).

The lag is very significant. It almost seems to start recording the video first. It is ahead right at the start of the recording and it appears to get worse as things progress. In the end the audio is often cut short.

There are no obvious "settings". The settings in the Screen Capture software look fairly simple with the only real option of file type - as I said all types are problematic.
