I'm having trouble getting a good video image. I recorded a GoToMeeting webinar as a WMV video, then imported it into the AVS Video Editor (v4.2.1.179, using Windows 7). The video source file looks fine when played in Windows Media Player, but it is bad in the AVS preview screen and in the final movie version. The video looks fuzzy and it's hard to read the text. I tried saving as AVI and MOV, but neither looked good.

I actually did the webinar again and used a lower resolution for my monitor, per GoToMeeting instructions, but it didn't help.

I'm quite frustrated!

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,
Please download the latest version of AVS Video Editor here.
Specify what settings (profiles) you selected for the output video.
We'd appreciate if you could also send us the following screenshot: right click on the video file on the timeline - choose Properties - make the screenshot and send it to us.
Regards

,

I just bought the program about 1 week ago, but I see there is a new build. I download and installed it, but the issue remains.

Attached is the screenshot you requested.

Attached are the output settings, but keep in mind that the video looks fuzzy on the preview screen too. However, if I play the source file in another program, it looks fine. The issue seems to happen when importing into AVS.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Sylvyan,

The problem is quite different from the problem described in the topic. You captured video to FLV format. Resolution of the captured file is 1026x768, but then you saved it to SWF format with 640x480 and lost the quality. I would recommend you to save this video to FLV HD 720p profile in AVS Video Editor, see the attachments.

Regards.
