Among the formats supported by the player mentioned (Philips DVP642) are:
- DVD which has the following structure: AUDIO_TS folder which is empty and VIDEO_TS folder which contains IFO, VOB and BUP files. DVDs are usually encoded with MPEG2 codec.
- AVI encoded with DivX or MPEG4 (you can learn more on DivX in
Wikipedia).
In case you would like to save the movie edited in AVS Video Editor to DVD, choose Save to Disc > DVD.
If this is DivX, choose Save to Disc > DivX/XviD and select the appropriate profile (ex, MPEG4 DivX/XviD compatible).
