I am having a problem with the Disk Creator. I am trying to make a DVD-RW disk from files on my computer (Windows 7 Premium 64, 16GB). The file is 2.9 GB in size and has approx. 4300 files. Every time I add files the program seems to go back and re-write all files added before. I tried adding all files at the same time but, after running almost 72 hours I closed the program. Amy suggestions?

Hello,

Please make sure that you have the latest version AVS Disc Creator 5.0.4.518, which can be downloaded from this link. We cannot repeat the issue in it. If it does not help, please specify which exact function in AVS Disc Creator you use and what is the format of the files you are adding.

Best regards.

I'm trying to use AVS Disc Creator 5.0 to burn audio disc but:
1. The program consistently continues to freeze
2. The select files/folders window also continues to freeze.
3. After finally loading the files, the burn process get stalled with frequent freezing
4. No files are burnt into the blank disc
5. The process ends with proclamations that the disc was successfully completed
6. Blank discs used in this process are meanwhile rendered unusable.

I did uninstall the program and re-downloaded the current one from your website with the same issues after reinstallation.

My Windows Edition: Windows 7 Professional
Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz 3.00GHz
Installed Memory: 1.00GB
System Type: 32-bit Operating System.

Can anyone assist please?

When installed, the AVS Disc Creator keeps coming up with "No CD\DVD drives found".
Windows can find my disc drive and even offers to burn the CD for me.

Help, thanks, Rod

Hello Lex,

I removed the AVS Disc Creator software using Windows control panel method.
Downloaded new copy of AVS Disc Creator v5.
Downloaded your AVS Libraries Update Setup Wizard.

Ran both downloads in order.
Still no joy, just left with the opening page of AVS Disc Creator and the unable to find CD\DVD drive message.
No functionality other than being able to press OK and cancel the message box and then shut down the the opening panel with top right X.

Could persevere with cleaning whole system of AVS software, shutting down and re-loading from scratch I suppose.
Unless that is, you have another idea?

Thanks

Lex,

Is "AVS Disc Creator v5" a stand along program?
I ask because in the "AVS Audio Editor" I am offered the option of using AVS Disc Creator to burn my file.

When installing, "AVS Disc Creator v5" doesn't request my authorisation code.
If I was able to access the menu, would I then be able to enter an authorisation code?

Thanks agin

Hello,

Please specify whether you use AVS4YOU software under the Administrator mode. Try to use TDK or Verbatim discs.
Send us your log. files, that were created after unsuccessful burning.
To find them, please, follow:
Local Disc (C) >> WINDOWS >> coredw.log
Local Disc (C) >> WINDOWS >> discwriter.log
We will do our best to help you.

- if you have Windows 7 the log files can be found here:

C:\Users\Current User\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSDiscCreator\logs
or
C:\Users\Current User\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoBurner

They log files can be found in the following directory:

for 7 - C:\Users\[User]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoBurner\logs

Best regards.

Lex,

Many thanks for your reply.

However, I feel you have the wrong end of the stick...

I cannot enter AVS Disc Creator at all, so have never burn't a disc og any make, thus I have no log files to send you.

For information, I am the sole user and administrator for this PC.

I shall remove all the AVS4YOU software and start again...

Lex,

Apologies, there are some files in the folder mentioned, they all tell the same story.
I stripped out the AVS4YOU software and re-installed plus used your add-on program.
Still no joy though.

Thanks

Lex,

One more point, the disc drive is a PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206 ATA Device [SATA], should this have any bearing on the problem?

Also, I attach the sixth file that would not attach last time, maybe a five file limit?

Thanks again

Lex,

Arrived home and after you mentioning drives, suddenly had a brainwave.

As you can see from the attachments, I had the CD\DVD drive configured with drive letter A:

Reconfigured as drive E:

Re-booted and everything worked.

Simple when you know.

Many thanks

Rod
