I just installed Windows 7 64 bit on my new computer and am having problems playing video files using the latest and previous versions of AVS Media Player.

When I play a video file it will begin playing really fast then end, and then the slider is still moving at a normal speed even though the actual video is not playing. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several different versions with the same result. I've used several different videos in several different formats with no change. I've tested the video using the Windows Media Player and they all play perfectly.

any ideas?

Hello,

Please make sure that you have the latest version of AVS Media Player, which can be downloaded from this link. Please check speed playback value and make sure it is 1.

Also, please try updating or reinstalling drivers for your video card.

Regards.

I have exactly the same problem. New PC, new installation. Was this fixed? In fact the problem is much worse at x1 - almost x1 playback speed when set to x2.
