HI AGAIN SORRY TO USE CAPS CANT SEEM TO GET IT BIG ENOUGH FOR ME.

YOU HAVE HELPED ME BEFORE AND I HAVE SINCE THOUGHT OF A FEW THINGS MORE TO DO WITH AVS CONVERTER NO 6.2
AS I HAVE NOW SUBSEQUENTLY BEEN ABLE TO BURN DISCS FROM MY DOWNLOADED ITEMS ARE THE ANY SETTINGS OR BOXES I SHOULD TICK IN THE PROCESS OF BURNING OR CONVERTING THE DISCS.
AS IT OBVIOUSLY WORKS NOW FOR ME AS I CAN WATCH DVD ON TV OR ON PC DO I PRESUME THAT THE FORMAT THAT THE CONVERTER IS SET UP ANTO IS AN AUTOMATIC SYSTEM IE I JUST DO IT AND DONT ALTER ANY SYSTEMS THAT COME UP EXCEPT TAKE THE ADVICE TO BURN TO 1 2 OR 3 DVDS DISCS.

Hello John,

As far as I understand, you want to convert your video files into DVD format. If so, that is possible to choose one of the predetermined profiles for the DVD conversion in the AVS Video Converter 6, pressing downward arrow in the Profiles field.

Best Regards.

Hello,

1. In fact it takes rather a long time for the program to detect the disc (about 20-40 sec) so if you press the Start Copy button a little bit too early (before the disc is detected) you are sure to get this message. So, please make sure that the disc is detected before you press Start Copy.

2. If such a problem appears with the same disc or with the discs from the same lot, you should try and use a different disc for the recording. To assure the compatibility with the different drives, it is recommended to use low-speed discs from known manufacturers.

a. DVD-RW 1x-2x, DVD-R 4x and slower
b. DVD+RW 2.4x, DVD+R 2.4-4x

It is right for most of the DVD-RW drives produced before 2005.

3. Please make sure that the discs you use are compatible with your disc drive. For that please launch AVS Disc Creator and press Get Drive Info button. Then pay attention to the Burn discs field, to make sure the discs type you use are compatible with your disc drive.

If the problem still remains, please provide us with more information:

Please, specify:

1. the burning settings you selected to write the disc;
2. the disc type you used;
3. the model of your burner.
4. please, also send us your log. files, that were created after unsuccessful burning.
To find them, please, follow:
Local Disc (C) >> WINDOWS >> coredw.log
Local Disc (C) >> WINDOWS >> discwriter.log

If you were writing Dvd disk:
5. the exact model of your DVD Player ;
6. try to play this dvd disc on your PC. What's the result?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Question. As I am new to the forum and the use of AVS4, I recently burned my first DVD and was surprised to see that it sort of jumped in places. In other words, as my speaker was speaking, he appeared to move quickly in one frame to the next. And then at the end of the DVD, it really speeded up. Using DVD-R and getting pretty good at authoring, but wondering, could it be the Windows Movie Maker or me during the editing?

Appreciate any comment and the other comments are a super help.

Thanks

Please play the output video file on your PC to assure the quality of the file you are burning to DVD and make sure, that the conversion was successful.

Please inform us about the result.

I'm still having trouble getting a DVD-R burned to play our vacation videos. I've bought an HP dvd1040 thats supposed to be able to burn this type of DVD. I'm getting a (no disc) reading on the F drive when I'm attempting to create this using the AVS Disc Creator 3.3. I have the VIDEO_TX & AUDIO_TS file converted and added from my C drive. I'm getting a "no disc" and "insert disc" box also when I hit the "burn DVD" button. What am I doing wrong?

Please precise whether you have an internal or external drive.

If that is an internal drive, please:
- check whether the DMA mode is enabled. You can follow this link to AVS Online Help for more information.

If that is an external drive, please:
-make sure that the drive is connected via USB 2.0 port (and not via 1.1 port), as it's strongly recommended by the manufacturer.

Hope to hear from you soon.

My problem is after burning the DVD and playing it in my DVD player, there is a thick green line at the bottom of my TV picture. This takes up about 1/5 of the width of my TV picture. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

Hello,

BreBruce:
there is a thick green line at the bottom of my TV picture.

Please, try to visualize the video using some player on your PC before burning it to a DVD disc, to make sure, that it is not a corrupted video, but the burning issue.

Best Regards

Hi,
Dam is out now, so I will be for him :-)
You say that AVS Video Converter starts burning and then cancels itself - I would like to learn if it just closes with no warnings or ends up with an error? If it is the latter, then what exact error it shows?
And have you tried recently to burn discs of the same type with other programs using the same DVD drive?
Looking forward to your replies.
Best regards.

Hi again,
we still need to know, if it is the burning process that is canceled (thus the program is not closed by itself) and no error is displayed or is it that the program just closes during the burning process without any warnings and errors (Windows standard errors included) - thus the burning is being done and the next moment there is just nothing - no opened program windows, no error windows - just a clear screen? Or there is still some window displayed? What is written in it? Could you send a screenshot?
By the way, what discs you are using - DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R Double Layer, DVD+R Double Layer, DVD-RW Double Layer or DVD+RW Double Layer? And what is the DVD-drive model you have?
Best regards.

I'm having the program crash after about 6 sec. converting .flv to DVD.
System is Windows Vista (64-bit). The APPCRASH info is below.
Oddly, it worked before I paid for the license.

Hello,

To: gnumenaut

Thank you for the file. We will test it and I'll inform you about the result.

To: charlesevill

The conversion duration depends upon many factors, for example the PC configuration, the speed of your DVD drive, the presets you chose for the conversion, the file size etc... So that is impossible to predict the conversion/burning time.
