the "Opening DVD movie, please wait..." popup appears to complete its task... even says 100%
but it doesn't go away... nor does it allow me to (successfully) click on "Start copying"

It doesn't freeze my computer-- I am able to do other tasks outside of AVS. but it doesn't move on to the next step nor can I force the software to quit in the Task Manager.

Same on both my desktop computer and my netbook (with dvd writer connected)...

any ideas?
Sharon

First of all make sure you use the latest version 4.1.1.263 of AVS DVD Copy, that can be downloaded following this link.

Specify please the type of the disk you use to copy the video to and its manufacture.

Please send us also the .log files that contain the description of the problem, zip the .log files and attach them here.
If you have Vista OS the .log files are saved in C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSDiscCreator\logs
and in C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\AVS4YOU\DiskCreator\logs - if you use XP OS.

I am having the same problem - I convert the file ... that's successful - then the AVS Video Burner Opens - Burns the entire movie - gets to the closing session phase, which usually takes a few minutes - insteat it lasts 10+ minutes and I get the message that finalizing is complete and the DVD will not play in any video player.

I have uninstalled AND reinstalled the entire program (all components) twice. There is an outstanding update to the DVD burner which will not install due to an install error - please help!

Dear user,
jill6768@opto...:
There is an outstanding update to the DVD burner which will not install due to an install error

Please try to disconnect your antivirus system for the time of AVS software installation. We can assure you that AVS4YOU software does not contacin any virus or spyware if downloaded directly from our official website.

jill6768@opto...:
the DVD will not play in any video player

Please specify what preset you select for the output video, the model of home DVD player and disk type used.

Can you playback the created DVD disk on your PC players?
Can you playback the created video (before burning it to a disk) on your PC?

Please try to burn another disk of well known manufacture of lower speed and inform about the result.

Thank you for the information.

Kind regards
