I have a NVidia based card based on the CUDA specs. When will any of the AVS software be able to take advantage of this power?

I'm glad to announce that already the next version of AVS Video Editor will offer acceleration of all video effects taking advantage of video card processing.

As for AVS Video Converter, video card based conversion is not planned for the nearest future, but our developers are considering this possibility and will surely implement it as soon as they can.

Best regards

Any idea of an ETA on the editor update?

With the HD camcorders becoming the standard it would be nice if the converter software were able to use the GPU power to convert the output to Zunes/IPods/Sansas etc.. If you guys were to add that capability you would be way ahead of any commercial competitors out there. hint hint hint

Thanks for the quick response.

I hope to be taken into consideration the possibility to speed up encoding with cuda or ati stream. is now a standard. So for the transitions and filters. And I hope very much that is taken into consideration that in the future 64-bit systems will become more numerous. So I think is fair to think of a plan to use these new technologies.
Say that the filters are optimized CUDA, but this is not advertised anywhere :-)
why?
thanks

Yes, we are now considering to use CUDA technology for encoding. This technology is used by our software for video effects, but unfortunately, it is not so valiable feature. So we do not advertise it.
