Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been covered but I have just started using Video Editor 4.2 and already having problems. Basically, I recorded some video on a ZOOM Q3 and imported it to VE but when I try and edit the movies I get no original sound, just a horrible loud hiss. Any thoughts? I have tried using the Q3s software for separating the video and audio but when I try and bring them in and play them through preview nothing happens - what's up?

Possibly, you could send us one of your files. We'll try to clear up why this is happening.
The instruction will be sent to you per e-mail.

Tried to add this to a similar thread, but it would not let me "reply" or "quote" or "new message"... so help with that would be great too...

Recorded audio and video on a Zoom Q3... used AVS Video Converter 6 to make it an AVI file. imported into Windows Movie Maker... video is fine... audio is a horrible hissing sound.

Attached is AVI file.

Please could you send us the original file and also specify the exact preset chosen when converting this file to AVI. The uploading instruction will be sent to your e-mail address promptly.

Thank you

Could you specify whether the problem persists when you try to edit a particular file / files from the same source or any file?
If you preview the file from Media Library, is the sound distorted or does the problem start only after you arrange the file on the timeline?

Please right-click the file and open Properties. Attach a screenshot of this window to your post.

We'll try to clear up this problem.

Hi. The sound problem persists no matter where the file is played or opened in AVS. Seems to happen to the file when it is imported into AVS, as other programs and media players play the video with the sound fine.

I will attach a screen shot as you asked. If I cannot import my Zoom Q3 videos into AVS then it is no good for me, I hope you can figure out the problem. Thanks!

Melissa

I have tried using the Q3s software for separating the video and audio but when I try and bring them in and play them through preview nothing happens. This is the same problem that drumalliance was having, and I really need this fixed, so I can edit a video I am working on. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are your videos from the same Zoom Q3 device? Could you describe the problems in more detail, as the solution might be different in your case. Send us a screenshot of the properties of your video file.

Well, I cant seem to get it to work still. When I install the file you sent me, I do it right, but when I go to repair the files, it says it cant load the library. And after I do all that, I cant even play the zoom videos on the AVS video editor. I could just play them but hear only a hissing sound, but now it wont even let me play them. When I try to drag the media file in to be played, it says, C:\Users\Jay\Documents\ZOOM HANDYSHARE\Media\Test1\ZOOM0004.mov, then right under that it says file format error.
