Also open VIDEO_TS.IFO in AVS Video Converter, click on Advanced > File Information and make a screenshot of this window (in order to explain what exactly you mean under "DVD IFO"). Please attach it here.

The DVD player is a 2002 Samsung s221, also I have no idea how to take a screen shot I'm sorry I'm very new to Pc world I feel so stupid thank you so much for helping me. don't give up on me I'm trying what I can try to tell yu is when I click on the top browse button its pulls up a box that says file name and file type when I click onm file type thats where it says Video DVD IFO is that more helpful to you. thanks again Gina

Thank you for the details. The fact is, AVS Video Converter converts to DVD with MP2 audio. Unfortunately, we have not managed to find any information on audio formats supported by your player. You can try searching the Internet for this kind of information. In case the player does not support MP2 audio, this must be the reason why there is no sound when you playback the movie.

Also please check up SAMSUNG DVD-S221 MANUAL > Troubleshooting section (p.44). Make sure audio options are set correctly.

As for the screenshot, Video DVD (*ifo) is the video format to be opened in the program. You need to double-click the folder which contains the movie first, open VIDEO_TS folder and then select VIDEO_TS.IFO file.

Im trying to convert from avi file from my digital camera to a dvd. i get video but no audio. im running window 7 and using a vivitar dv840xhd camera. what should i do?

Sorry for the late reply.

Could you please check when exactly the sound disappears:

1. when you open the source file in AVS Video Converter and play it in a preview window,
2. after conversion, when you playback the DVD video saved on your hard disc (select VIDEO_TS.IFO file to playback the movie),
3. after the disc is burnt, when you playback the disc on your PC,
4. when you playback the same disc in a DVD player?

Trying to convert from a three WMV files to DVD.
Converted all three onto one burn-file using AVS VideoConverter 6.

After burning, the second and third files play fine on both my computer and on my Panasonic DVD Player.

The First (longer - 182 MB) file plays fine on the computer but loses its sound on the DVD player (Just get faint, high pitched, barely audible squeaks)

Is there something I can do to 'finish' the DVD so that it plays 'anywhere'?

Hello,

Sorry for the late reply.

Most probably there is the problem with the blank discs, it seems defected. If you have not deleted the third DVD from hard drive, you can burn it once again clicking right mouse button and choosing Send To>AVS Video Burner.

Please use the latest version AVS Video Converter 7, where most bugs has been fixed. I would recommend you to reinstall all AVS programs using the instructions here and then install the latest versions.

I was using version 6 of the video converter and having no difficulty in converting flv video to mpg or other formats. However, since I downloaded the Audio Converter and the latest version of Video converter, when I convert my flv to any other video format there is no audio. Additionally, when I try to extract the audio, I get a file with no sound. I have tried it with multiple flv files on two separate computers and get the same results. Help!!!

I have done as requested and still have the same problem. I get the same error on a different PC as well. I would be happy to send one of the FLV files I have been working with if you just tell me where and how. I downloaded another program that was able to extract the first 5 minutes of audio, but I really don't want to purchase another program when I already own yours and it should work. Thank you for the link. We have reproduced the problem in AVS Video Converter. It is the problem with certain flv file, there is mono aac sound which is not read by AVS Video Converter correctly. I've just forwarded the file to our developers, they will analyse and try to fix the problem. I'll get back to you soon.

I also found the same problem. Tried my .flv converted to . avi, .mov. m4a and no sound on any one.
The file originates from a webcam recorder flash uploader so I presume thats mono audio.
Note the problem first reported April 18. When is a fix expected?
In the meantime can you recommend a converter that does work ?

Vlad - What is the status of this bug fix? Other media players can play the flv file and audio is heard fine. However, both the avs media player and video editor will not play the audio in these types of flv files.

I have an mp4 video which I took with my mobile which i want to put on youtube.

the file is 3 minutes and 400MB, so I first converted with AVS converter 8.0.4.495

The resulting file seemed fine, but on playing the sound stops completely after 30 seconds and never comes back.

I tried using the AVS video Editor with the original file, which was very slow, however on producing the video at the end, the same thing happened...

any ideas
