Just installed the latest version of Vdieo Editor.

On each restart of the program, Either one of the following has the video frame darkens and rendering it not working

1) The video frame blackens, rendering it impossible to edit the text.

2) Playing the storyline, nothing happens.

But in playing any of the imported media files, it always works.

It seems a serious bug needs fixing.

I have a Windows 10 system that has been working with AVS for many years.

First of all, please try to set this option for Windows 10, because latest versions of that OS can undesirably block video overlay for our apps:
Settings -> Preview -> Video rendering = Use video buffer.

Next you can try to change video decoder:
Settings -> Acceleration
1) hardware Intel Media decoder - for Intel processors with iGPU;
2) software Intel Media decoder - for Intel/AMD CPU;
3) NVIDIA CUDA decoder - for NVIDIA GPU;
4) common decoder (disabled Intel decoder and disabled NVIDIA decoder)

Also please read this theme.
