Hello, Perhaps someone out there has seen this.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit, new Dell XPS studio 9100 and when I try to convert some videos thru AVS Video Converter v 7.1 it runs thru in about 2 seconds and says Conversion Completed however there is nothing created (not even an empty file, nor does it error. I ran a repair and see there are 2 dlls it can not loead: avsmobiledevice2activesync.dll and the AVSShellConverter64.dll, please advice how to get thsi working. I see many posts ont he activesync one but nothing on the latter. I really like this and need it working ASAP.
PS I installed the OS from scratch and installed AVS before any antivirus or Firewall and also Running AnyDVD and Roxio. This is a clean system, yet the Converter simply does not work. I installed this about a week ago from the bundled install. I can create ISos and use a few other AVS utilities but conversion, regardless of the to or from formats simply does NOT work.

Try to provide some additional information about the error:

- describe your actions step by step;

- specify the format of the file you are trying to convert and its origin;

- specify to which format you convert and which presets you select;

Do you have that issue while working with any other files?

I'm having the same problem, a few seconds into the conversion it shows complete and there is nothing in the destination directory.

I am converting from .ifo and .vob to mkv (working with a 24 season 1 - disk ripped and verified as playable )
Selected the VIDEO_TS.ifo
Selected all of the tracks
Only .ifo files show in the input file list

Also tried manually bringing in all .ifo and .vob - same result
Tried other input files - same result
Tried other output formats - avi, mpeg - same result

Tried resetting the compatibility back to XP SP3

Tried the repair - got the same result as agustin - AVSMobileDevice2ActiveSync.dll and AVSShellConverter64.dll "Cannot Load Libr..."
I am using 64 bit Windows 7

Any suggestions on where to go from here?

I had that happen to me on one video. Try using DVD Fab instead of Any DVD. Also when using DVD Fab, try using the Main Movie option if you're doing movies. That worked for me. Then convert through AVS.]

Hope this helps.

What is the next step if the install didn't work? I uninstalled AVS per the instructions listed and reinstalled, but nothing changed.

I'm using AVS Video Converter 7.1 and I'm trying to convert .vob files to mp4 to play on Apple TV through iTunes.

Certain movies I have work fine, but the majority of the movies I have on disc don't convert. It just runs through the initial process for about 2 seconds and then I get the message that the files have been converted, but they are no where to be found.

I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Try using another decrypter for DVD's, for example this one. Also, you should open VIDEO_TS.IFO file from DVD to convert the whole movie. Finally, I would recommend you to copy files from disc to hard drive just using copy/paste and open DVD from hard dirve. Some discs can be scratched and not readable.

Regards.
