hey guys, so im using AVS 5.1.

I had my video all set to produce. When i viewed it, i decided to go back and make changes to and gte rid of some transitions. After i did that, i went back to produce to preview my final product again. This time, there was audio from the audio clips i had put in. The sound from the videos i added works, but the mp3's from before will not play. I can add them to the media library, but when i go to put them in the timeline. it gives me an errror and says "audio format not supported."

Im not totally new to this but its my first time using this program. Again, the mp3's its denying had worked earlier, so im not sure why they aren't working now. Im doing this project for school and its due in a week. Please please help e someone! i came so close to finishing it and now im stuck with this audio format problem.

Thanks!

Same problem for me - not able anymore to add voice (neither format). Error message: mp3 Audio format not supported.
Worked for almost 2 years now with your Video Editor, now since upgrading to Version 5 get this error message every now and then, but for 1 week now, I get the error message constantly.

This is really ennoying!!!

Hello,

Try reinstalling the software using the instructions here.

If it does not solve the issue, please give the following details about the problem:

- when do you get this error exactly? Every time trying to loading the file, or during working on a project quite a long time?

- follow Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Repair.

If some of the .dlls are not registered, please make a screenshot of the Repair window showing those files and send it to us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

Good to know someone else is having this same problem. I put in an mp3 file to my video. I play it, and it works. In fact, I've produced other videos with mp3 files in them, and had no problems. However, here's what I experienced:

You can insert the mp3, edit, anything else you need to do... but I had my mp3 at the end of the video. If you TEST PLAY the video, and let it play through to the end, the next time you work on the video, the audio on the mp3 won't play, and any re-importing will error out with "AVS does not support mp3".

I find this extremely frustrating since I've paid for this program, and I continually keep getting stuck because of bugs.

Hello,

Followed the same steps and could not repeat the error.

Please make sure that you have the latest version AVS Video Editor 6.0. which is avaliable on our website www.avs4you.com. Also please update drivers for your audio card.

It it does not solve the issue, please specify your PC configuration - operating system, CPU, Ram, model of audio card.

Best regards.

Hello all,
Regarding adding audio file to home movies.
Is mp3 the only format that should be used to add audio to video?
Thank you.

If you use the software and edit a video for a long period, it'll mess up the import system. The mp3 files aren't able to open if it happens. I suggest you download Audacity (or you can use AVS Audio converter to convert your files so they have a .wav extension. Hope it helped you out, it did for me!

Have a nice day :)

Hello

Thanks for sharing your experience. It will be useful for others.

This error when importing mp3 files may occurr if there is not enough storage for temporary files on your hard drive. You can check it in AVS Video Editor>Edit>Settings>Environment.

Best regards.
