Even though I am not happy having my video on line I have tried to upload the file. However, I have just noticed that the maximum file size is 10mb so what do I do now, the smallest file I have is 5GB.

Since I have been trying to fix this since the 8th Jan do you think I should just try another piece of software? I need to show these videos on Wednesday so I need a fix very soon.

We've previously sent instructions for uploading the file to our FTP server. This way even 5 Gb files can be uploaded and noone will get access to your files except our developers. I will send you the instructions once again on the support page.

It will really take some time before the solution is found, as some testing and corrections in the apropriate software component must be done.

Best regards

I have not seen any instructions for uploading files to your FTP server, can you confirm when you posted them to me please. I know the question I am about to ask is like asking how long a piece of string is, but how long will it take. What do you mean by some time?

before i attach my file can you confirm how no one can view it since I have managed to down load someone else's video and watch it. Surely this is in breach of the data protection act of 1998?

If you upload the file to our FTP server, only our testing team and developers will get access to it. We guarantee that we will not distribute this file over the Internet to anyone else.

Nadin,
The issue is that anybody with access to the FTP server can down load the files which is wrong. I tried this last night and I could down load other peoples files and I am not in your testing team or a developer.

We'll send you private access log in details on the support page, so that noone who has ever used our FTP among AVS users gets access to your file. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nadine,
Your server keeps on crashing when I try and upload the 12GB file.

Also, even though you said on the 26th Jan I will have a secure access to an FTP area.

If it helps, I have the EXACT same problem converting an original DVD (that i OWN) to h264 /mp3 using the built in settings (various, but usually tried 1200kbps).

Procedure...anydvd > rip video dvd to hard drive...test with vlc...NO PROBLEMS, ALL IN SYNC. - its original dvd with only copy protect removed.

try to convert using avs video convertor (latest trial version) to h264 1200kbps / mp3 192kbps (built in setting)...watch as desynch of vid to voice starts near beginning, increasing to unwatchable by end of movie.

I am only evaluating the software now, so I dont know if the watermark makes any difference.

Hope this helps.

Could you please send us your original DVD movie (VIDEO_TS folder), as this issue can be solved by analysing the source video only. I'll send you the instructions on the support page.

The non-activated versions do not have any functional limitations. Here is more information.

I just purchased your latest version of AVS Video Converter and realize I'm having the same issue of out of synch audio when I convert my mp4 files to DVD. The input file is perfectly in synch, but the output's audio runs about .5 seconds behind the video. I'm only interested in converting mp$s to DVD right now and haven't tried any other formats. The mp4 files are large files averaging about 2 gigs in size compressed. I don't necessarily want to send you the files I'm converting as i would believe there would be a fix already out there after all these complaints. Please advise or I'm afraid a refund will have to be sought after.

Thanks you,
Brian

I'll send a possible solution to your e-mail address. If it does not help, we'd still need one of the original files for testing.

Let me start by first say how impressed I am with the way support for this product has been. I figured I would not receive a reply, or more say a run around response after a few days of badgering over the issue. That wasn't the case. I received a response, and might I say the appropriate response within 2 hours of submitting my initial request. I have never experienced that level of support for any IT related issue including within the company I work for. My hat goes off to you for taking care of your customers in such a professional and caring manner. Thank you,

Now back to the issue. The solution and files you provided seem to work. I say seemed to work because I only tried it on 1 movie so far. I'll provide additonal information once I've had a chance to run through a few more videos. Thank you,

Big Thank you,

Nadin,

I've had time to work with this more and covert to DVD, all the mp4s which I was previously having audio trouble with. Thankfully the files provided before seem to fix the audio/video sync problem I was running into, but I've noticed another problem as a result of the conversion process. The video is not coming out as fluid as it should. Meaning the videos motion seems to stutter very briefly throughout the feature. To best describe, if a character on the screen is rolling from one side of the screen to the other, the motion is not a fluid or smooth as it should be. It's almost like the frame rate slows down causing a slight shutter. This problem doesn't seem to be an issue with the compressed mp4 file, just the conversion. I hope I described well enough the problem I now face. Thank you for your time..\
