I bought Twilight and want to convert it to transfer to my Archos 7, but it won't open the file, it hangs up and I have to eject the disc to stop it. Same thing happened with Transporter 3.

The problem must be that these two discs are copy-protected.

I use DVD43 which decrypts it, shows a happy face, so I assume it's decoded.

Prior to opening the movie in the program, try to playback the disc in a player on your PC. It is played correctly?
If yes, open AVS Video Converter and choose VIDEO_TS.IFO from VIDEO_TS folder on the disc as an input file. What is the result?

The movie plays fine, and I selected the VIDEO_TS.IFO file as I always do. The small box appears and shows the program is trying to open the file (normally after this it shows several titles with the longest being selected), but in this case it gets a about 1/3 done and stops. I've left it running overnight to see if its just slow, but it never finished. I read several posts that ANYDVD worked, so I downloaded it and it copied the movie to my harddrive, which I was then able to convert. What I don't understand is why AVS won't work off the disc. As I stated, the only time I've seen this before was with another new movie "Transporter 3".

The program has worked fine for all my other movies, and TV series. Very satasifed, except I'm concerned that it will be an ongoing issue with new movies.

Obviously, ANYDVD worked better than DVD43 in respect of removing the copy-protection. In the first case the protection has not been removed entirely, I guess. Note that AVS software does not let you copy the protected material.

There is a version of DVD43 for 64-bit but it is different than the 32-bit one. It is a plug in. Eventhough AVS does request that you use DVD43, I can't seem to get it working in 64-bit mode. The only info I get is that if it doesn't work, your app (AVS video conversion) doesn't support plugins.

Hello,

Unfortunately, our programs do not hoop up this plug in. Try using another decrypter for 64 bit system, for example this one.

Best regards.

Obviously I tried to import a commercial DVD that is encrypted.

I have downloaded DVD43 plugin as your link suggested after the warning came up.

I have tried everything. Restarting, running repair (although Repair CAN NOT LOAD a DLL - see attached)
Every time I try to import the DVD the "information" warning comes up.

Help please!

regards
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

As far as I know they have plugin only for 64 bit systems. So, you should download the whole program, not the plugin.

If it does not help, please try another decrypted suggested in the post above.

Best regards.

Since I have to be having sync problems with AVS Video Converter, perhaps you could recommend a freeware DVD Ripper that would be best compatible with your converter product.

So far I have tried both DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, and both seem to have A-V sync problems with your converter.

Thank You,

Hello,

Please note the discussions above. We recommend to use DVD43 or Any DVD decrypters to work with AVS Video Converter.

Best regards.
