I just got an Iphone. I have many ringtones in windows that I want to get to my iphone. I can use phonezoo.com but that is tedious. Does AVS have it, or how do I do it

Unfortunately, for the moment our software does not allow you to convert to .m4r format directly, however, you can convert your files to .m4a or .aac using AVS Audio Converter or AVS Ringtone Maker and rename them with .m4r extension. This way files must get recognized in your iPhone.

It is valuable to know that there is a 30 sec limitation for iPhone ringtones (40 sec for iPhone 3G).

Also note that our software does not allow you to upload files to iPhone, so please use iTunes instead.
We are working on these issues at present and planning to support iPhone within future releases.

hOW DO YOU REMAME A FILE SO i Can upload it to itunes

For ex., your output file has the name audio.m4a. You need to right-click it and choose Rename, then highlight the extension (after the dot) and type in m4r instead. As a result, you get audio.m4r.

when I highlight, right click, and attempt to type "m4r" in the name space a box pops up stating that I must tape a "name" in that space.
What am I doing wrong; how do you does one change the file extention? The goal is to be able to upload to itunes ringtone in order to use on my Iphone 3G S

1. right-click the file and choose "Rename";
2. highlight the extension only (see screenshot 1);
3. type in m4r instead (scr. 2) and press Enter;
4. after that you will get a warning (scr.3), click OK.
