Hello,

RAR is a proprietary archive file format, so, that is not supported by AVS software as an input file. You have to unpack it first and then use AVS programs.

Best Regards

Hello,

Rar riles are supported by 7-zip freeware. You can try unpacking your archives with it.

Regards.

I am trying to convert an .rar file to an avi file. I do understand that the rar files have to be extracted before they can be converted using AVS4you Video Converter. However, when I extract the rar files using Extract Frog software, the files extract to one folder with an rar extension and AVS4you Video Converter will not convert this because it is not a video file. What do I need to do? I cannot include the file in question because it is over 400 mb.
Thank You.

Not sure what happens exactly... Do you extract rar archive but still get rar file in the result? What files do you have in the extracted folder? What is their format, extension?
