I tested stabilization in many software.
For example: Deshaker in VirtualDub.

Input file resolution 4K (100mbit, h264)
Output file resolution: 1080p (30mbit, h264)
Stabilization level: default

Deshaker uses more ZOOM but image has more details than from AVS, so AVS must use ZOOM or CROPPING in the wrong way, because source clip has 4k resolution.
We loose too many details after this process.
Output encoder settings are the same.

What is the problem? I put sample in attachment.

Please try to change the settings in AVS Video Editor: press the Edit button on the top toolbar - choose Settings - Processing tab - in Resize choose Super.

Please specify the source of the attached screenshot - is it made from the preview of AVS Video Editor or from the output file?

It's from output file (MPC-HC player). Resize method was unchanged (Super).
Maybe this is normal... but if we don't use stabilization, we have very good quality.
Deshaker is good, but other software have similar "problem", but if we don't have hardware stabilization,
this is the only way.

One more thing.
This test video is stable as it is, so this is not blurry from camera shaking.

I thing software works like that now:

- Downscaling from 4k to FHD
- Apply stabilization (by zoom-in from FHD!)

Should be:

Apply stabilization (by CROP 4k clip, not ZOOM)
Downscaling from 4k to FHD.

But this is just guessing how it works :)
