First time use.

I connected my computer to the video camera via a USB to RCA plug adapter. I then selected "capture from camera" button and used all the defaults, but no audio is captured. In the "settings" tab in the "Device" section, it show the source is USB (2) which sound correct. The Video Standard shows "NTSM_M" - I have no idea if this is correct.

Any ideas why I am not successfully capturing sound?

Dear user,

Thank you for the information.

Please try to update drivers for your device downloading them from the website of the manufacturer.

Try to provide some additional information about the problem:
- specify the exact model of your capture device;
- specify to which format you capture video - Recommended, Native or MPEG-2;
- specify your PC configuration (Operating System, CPU, Ram).

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards

PC - HP Elitebook 8460p
Processer : I7
Memory: 8 gb
OS: Window 7 64 bit

I subscribe to a service which keeps all of my drivers up to date (https://secure.driversupport.com/ )

I will be upgrading to Windows 10 when it comes out in a few weeks and I have purchased another video camera (digital) rather than using my Sony TRV308 analog video camera.

I am also considering the purchase of a DVD/VCR as a means to capture my VHS tapes and eventually port the DVD over to the computer to then edit and store them for my non Hi8 format tapes.

Perhaps I have choosen the wrong capture device. Was not sure there was a lot of difference in these product.

Your advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated!!
