Is there a config setting or file to edit to allow the AVS software to run properly on PC/Mac that are using high-resolution screens? I know the Retina screen and my new Dell run at 3200/1800 and as such, the UI is VERY small and almost unreadable...

Any help?!?!

Thanks.

T.

Dear user,

Please follow this link to download the .exe files for bigger versions of AVS4YOU software. You can find the detailed information on how to install non DPI aware versions of AVS4YOU software on AVS4YOU support blog.

Install the file please.

Please inform about the result.

Kind regards

Hello to all! I have down loaded avs4you package with all the different tools. When I open video editor the text for the links (top left corner etc..) is entirely too small. I would have to use a magnifying glass to read it. I am using windows 10 on a new Dell XPS15 with a 4k screen. Is the 4k screen resolution the problem?
Thanks for the help!

Thank you for this info. It does work on the Win 10 4K screen. It would be nice during install if you asked if we have a 4K screen (most of the higher end laptops have this option). This would eliminate all the fumbling around and irritation of not being able to use the program that we all love.

Hi!

Is there a way of scaling up the interface fonts in AVS Video Editor?

I tried the patch AVSNonDpiAwarePatch, but it didn't work :(

The problem is that the interface fonts are so small, that on my Surface pc/tablet it's not possible to use for me...
It urns the totally software unusable... The Surface PC has much higher DPI than a regular Full HD 23 inch monitor...
There has to be a way to fix it??
Please help, I need the video to be done.

Regards

Dear Jędrzej,

Please send us the screenshot of the content of the folder on your PC:
C:\Program Files\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor

Thank you for cooperation.

Here is the screenshot...

Now, I think I have found a solution... I have simply moved out the AVSVideoEditor.exe file one level up, to the AVS4YOU directory, instead of the AVS4YOU/AVSVideoEditor directory... The interface fonts now scale correctly!
But will the functionality of video editor work correctly now, with this hack?

Dear Jędrzej,

Please try to reinstall the software and choose other location for installation file:

1. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it.

2. Download and install the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website.

Please follow this link to download the .exe files for bigger versions of AVS4YOU software.

Install the file please.

Please inform about the result.

Kind regards

I applied this patch and it did NOT fix the Photo Editor interface. Please advise on how to fix 4k display scaling for the photo editor.

AVS Photo Editor, since version 3.0.1.155, has a scalable GUI (non-DPI-aware) initially. You do not need AVSNonDpiAwarePatch anymore. Just download the new version AVS Photo Editor 3.0 from our site and install it.

AVS-applications now have a scalable GUI again, as it was before the autumn 2014.
