I am trying to convert a Blu Ray disc to an MKV file and when I try to open the index file for the blu ray, it get an External Exception E06D7363 error. I have done some searching around the forums and have followed the steps to do a complete uninstall, restart and reinstall and I have having the same error.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Win8 Pro, 8GB RAM and an i3 2.5 GHz processor.

I am not sure what to do at this point. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Please specify if you can playback the Blue Ray video on any of your PC players without any problems.

Do your video have copy protection?

Try to import .m2ts file to AVS Video Converter and inform about the result.

I am able to play the video back with no issues. It is a copy protected disk and I am using AnyDVD HD to handle that. I grabbed a single .m2ts file from within the STREAM directory and I was able to successfully convert that to .mkv.
