I have a brand new Windows 8.1 pro computer with lots of memory etc., so no issues with it....and cannot get this program to work for the life of me.

I have used the uninstall tool and reinstalled clean 10 times to no avail, I have tried all compatibility settings to no avail, I have tried virtually everything that I know how to do...

I open the program, import media, and half way through importing, "Video Editor has stopped working...windows checking for a solution and will notify you if one becomes available", end program.

I have two different graphics processors tried both, both the end result is the same, cannot import and edit videos...if I import videos one by one, I can actually get them imported, but as soon as I add them to the timeline, same thing "Video Editor has stopped working..."

Completely frustrated....don't know what else to do....have as said done fresh install numerous times with suggestions from other posts, remove reg leftovers etc., used the avs uninstall etc etc., does anyone have any help or is AVS a complete waste of money for windows 8 moving forward?

Thanks in advance for any of your help in advance, doesn't hurt to keep trying :)

Dear user,

The problem may occur due to the lack of memory necessary for conversion.

Please try to follow the recomendations below:
1. Switch off Intel Media Codec (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ Intel Media Codec/ choose disable) and set up single thread conversion (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ put a marker on single thread conversion)
2. Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form (Edit/ Settings/ Edit/ remove the markers from Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form)
Please inform about the result.

If it does not help please unzip the file in the attachment and run it by double clicking on it. Try to use the program and inform about the result.

Kind regards

In addition to this please, is there a confirmation that this will work fine with the upcoming stable release of Windows 10?

Dear user,

Thank you for the question.

All AVS4YOU software (except for AVS Registry Cleaner) is compatible with Windows 10 OS, however the compatibility will be officially announced on our website after the official release of the OS.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
