I haven't used the video editor in a few years. Just downloaded the latest version, and am disappointed to find that the stutter issue has not been fixed.

I'm talking about when you put multiple clips onto the timeline, sometimes the very end of the clip does a little stutter.

This is NOT just a problem in preview. When I create the movie, it has exactly the same stutter I saw in preview.

Here's an example of what I mean:

(Accidentally posted it while still writing it. Hmm, no ability to edit my post?)

Here's an example:

Look at about 1:27 where the tan dog and brown dog are playing. Right before it cuts to the next scene, there's a little hiccup.

I'm creating a new movie for a client of mine whose dog has recently passed on, and it still stutters. I'm fed up enough to bag AVS forever and find some other video editor.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks.

Dear user,

Please try to select the input frame rate, frame size and bitrate for the output, you can do it by clicking on the Advanced button after selecting the format to save the video to. To check the input file settings please right click on the input file while in media library or timeline of AVS Video Editor - choose Properties.

Inform about the result please.

Kind regards

Hi,

Thank you for your prompt reply.

The output is:
framerate: 25 fps
bitrate: 1200
size: 640 x 480

The input varies. On one clip that it happens, the input is:
framerate: 25 fps
bitrate: 2688.066 kbps
size: 640 x 480

Personally, I don't see why the output settings matter because that wouldn't explain why it also happens on the preview window in exactly the same place.

Thanks, Susie

It could be that a specific out put rate might trigger a bug that causes the stutter but let's wait for further steps by the way.

Dear Susie,

Please choose 2688.066 kbps bitrate for the output and produce the video once again.

Inform about the result please.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
