I am a longtime user of AVS software and have ran into my first problem in many years. While converting ANY
file I now get a error message saying: Access Violation at Address 00517A9E in Module "AVSVideoConverter.exe" Read of address
00000028. Can anyone help why this is now happening after all of these years? I am using version 8.5. Thank you in advance

Dear user,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC following precisely the instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it.

3. Download and install the latest version of the necessary programs from our website:

Try to use AVS Video Converter once again and inform about the result.

If a reinstall doesn't help. I'd also try out the System Restore functionality of WIndows.
