A very useful feature would be the ability to select a group of adjacent objects on a line--say, several adjacent objects on an audio or video overlay line--to be moved forward or backward on the line as a group.

Consider, for example, making a karaoke video in which there is no main video, just an audio track and a string of text objects placed along a text line so as to appear synched with the music. Now suppose one later decides to insert a lead-in vamp ahead of the actual song. Shifting the single audio track to align with the end of the lead-in would be simple, but in Videoa Editor's current state, all the individual text objects would have to be individually realigned to synch with the shifted audio track. OTOH, if all the text objects containing the synched lyrics could be selected and shifted as a group to align with the start of the shifted audio track, the task would be greatly simplified.

I can think of many other scenarios in which this capabilty would also be useful. Ideally, the selection operation could be done by clickiing the starting object to be selected and shift+clicking on the end of selection range, much the way one selects a range of text in a text editor or a range of files within a folder.
