I am an English teacher wanting to make a lot of short videos for the questions/ answers to online language tests.
E.g.
Which way is the library?
A It opens at noon.
B Sure, I can lend you a book.
C Down there on the left.
D There are no bookshops in this town.
Rather than stop and start my video camera 5 times, or even more, since I am thinking of reading in a whole batch of questions and answers, I am planning to use one of AVS4YOU's programs to split the video up. I am not sure if I will be converting or not. I may just set my camera to take fairly low (h264 is it? mp4) resolution files. But I will probably convert to flv.
Does anyone have any advice on the best AVS software and work-flow for this task?
Ideally I would like to be able to see an audio waveform that I could clap or press a loud buzzer at the end of each section and then set the splits on where I see peaks visible in the audio waveform. In any event I will need to delete some bits where I make mistakes (or the claps/buzzes themselves if I use claps).
I have downloaded the video converter which allows me press "edit" and then to add chapters and then convert these chapters into separate files flv. The converter's editor does not have an audio wave form, and all "chapters" will be converted, even those that I want to discard. This is not really a problem, but perhaps there is a better way. I would be grateful of any advice.
