I am editing multiple videos, and in one of them the first few minutes play just fine but then it is distorted after for the rest of the clip. What's strange is when I play the video on its own, everything is clear through the whole video. It's only when I import it to the AVS Video Editor that there's an issue. Has anyone experienced this?

Dear user,

The HD video that is imported to AVS Video Editor is being cached (you will see a mark on it in the media library), this is done to make the editing more comfortable and does not influece the output video quality.

What you experience is first minutes of the video has been cached already, while the rest - not, please wait for the caching process to stop. After that the video will play smoothly on the preview.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards

I get this same issue, even after I wait until cache is finished, it published the video this way. I used a program called HyperCam to record my screen as I played a game. It gave me an AVI file, which is completely unwatchable when imported into this software.

Dear user,

Do you get the destorted video on the preview window only or on the output file also?

If on the output please specify to what format you saved your video and what settings (profile) you selected.
Specify the settings of your input file (bitrate, frame rate, frame size).

To avoid the problem on the preview please try to change the quality of the video preview both on the timeline and on medialibrary by clicking on the Edit button on the top toolbar - choose Settings - General tab - Preview section: choose "Low (Fastest)" in "Quality" drop down box to get the best processing speed. Please also uncheck the option "Use original format in media library" - you will get good processsing speed.

Please note that preview quality does not influence anyhow the output video quality. To get the output file of high quality please select the input file parameters like frame rate, frame size and bitrate for the output by clicking on the Advanced button after selecting the format. To check the input file parameters right click on the video in media library - choose Properties.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.
