Team,

I bought AVS complete package software few months back, I want to convert a movie (WMV file) which is in my PC to MP4 so can upload the same to my ipad..
but when I am choosing file from AVS video converter, its giving me below error..

The following error occurred while opening file :

Movie.wmv : file format error...

now, all movies are original and I am able to play in my PC...

Please suggest..

Dear Kuntal,

Please sepcify the origin of the .WMV files you need to convert. Can they have copy protection?

Specify the version of AVS Video Converter you use: press the About button on the top toolbar of AVS Video Converter.

Do you get any problems with any other file formats?

Specify the name of .WMV file you use and where on your PC it is located. Try to rename and replace it and use AVS Video Converter once again.

I've purchased lots of bluray combo pack (Bluray+DVD+Digital Copy) so all digital copies have been downloaded in my PC and I guess should be copy protected...

all those digital downloaded copies are working fine but I wanted to convert them in mp4 so can download them in my ipad for my kids...

I'vent tried other file formats...
