Are there any suggestions for correcting the internal error 65536 in the video editor 6.3?

I have tried to produce a movie under four formats, to file, dvd, and device and all I have been able to produce is this error message.
Currently running windows 7 professional
16gb ram
amd fx-4170 processor at 4.2gHz

No reply from avs support as of yet.

Dear user,
To avoid the problem please try to delete all traces of AVS4YOU software from your PC:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.
2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download and install the latest version of AVS Video Editor and try to use it, inform about the result.

Thank you for the information.

Kind regards

Hi Brad ...

You have a newer, faster, larger RAM based PC than I have. But after I encountered this 'buggie' little error 65536 and following the same old AVS4U recommended uninstall / reinstall activities, and, after having one or two re-occurrences, I did the following ...

I installed the AVS code on, and ran it from the "C" drive (had been doing it from an external disc at one time; successfully for awhile); made sure the target directory was also on "C". Also, after my final editing cuts, I would produce to DVD files ... and do so on a quiescent system ... no other programs running and while disconnected from the internet. I don't burn to DVD from Video Editor but instead use Disc Creator. Throw in a PC reboot in the middle too sometimes.

This is working for me and has helped me avoid 65536.

Good luck in finding your solution. Too bad AVS will not put together a "solution tip & tricks" document for this problem to better help its customers.

Regards,

George

Dear user,

Please first of all make sure you have the latest version 6.3.2.234 of AVS Video Editor: press the About button.

Specify the origin and format of the files used in the project, what other effects or corrections you made.

Try closing all other applications running on your PC during the creation process, change Temp directory by clicking on Edit - Settings - Environment tab,
and using Single thread conversion (edit - settings - processing tab)

If possible please try to split the project into two and create them separately.

Inform about the result please.

Kind regards
