This software is effectively unusable.

As with many others I am stuck in the endless loop of exception errors and eefface errors after mere seconds of use.

Usual story - I've done the full delete, reinstall and reactivation. I have a brand new Acer laptop. Clean Windows 8 install. Plenty of memory.

I don't want to get in stuck like so many others in the usual delaying tactics with "Support" of responding to ever more detailed requests for information about my system, its video card and any other ruse they use to avoid having to admit this software is as useful as a bucket of dead fish for editing video.

WHAT CAN I DO?

18hrs and no response from AVS... may be they agree with me?

Maybe they've gone fishing to fill my bucket up with more dead fish...

Dear user,

We are really sorry for the inconvenieces caused, but usually we provide support within 48 hours.

If you have already tried reinstalling the software and the problem is still not resolved, please try to do the following: unzip the file in the attachment and run it on your PC by double clicking on it.

After that try to use AVS Video Editor once again and inform about the result.

Kind regards.

I'm not in the habit of running software I know nothing about.

What is in the zipfile? What will it do/install?

And why did you change the title of the post?

The software I have is buggy. The original title was accurate. Or I wouldn't be here needing your support.

Dear user,

According to forum rules, 'you agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material of that kind. We will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted'.

The problem you have may be connected to codecs installed on your PC. Running the file attached on my previous message will not allow codecs interfere with functionality of AVS4YOU software.

Kind regards
