My project worked fine for days, but now that it is up to 8 minutes I keep losing the preview window. The play arrow goes gray, and so does the preview window. I can still play clips directly from the library. I have not added any new formats, just made the project a little bigger. If I make a change, save, and restart, I can usually get the main preview back. However I also lose the preview/adjustment windows for text overlays, and cannot get them back. Changing preview quality did not help. When I produce the video, it works fine.

My display is set to 32 bits. I am running ver 6.2.1.222 (the paid-for version), windows XP with 2 gigs of ram, of which windows says I am using half. I just installed the latest nvidia drivers with no effect.

I have seen similar problems showing up in the forums as early as 2009.

Any hope?

Hello,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
Now install the software on your PC anew.

If it does not solve the issue please contact us again and follow Start >> Control Panel >> System and make a screenshot of the General tab.

Best regards.

I completely uninstalled avs, ran your registry cleaner, downloaded a new copy and reinstalled. Problem unchanged. Attached is a screen capture of my system overview.

My problem seems to be the same as http://forum.avs4you.com/posts.aspx?lng=ENG&t=4036, which was never resolved.

And the redo button now locks up the program. ctl-alt-del required to exit.
