Hey gang,

I'm new to AVS and I'm having trouble figuring out something (I think is) simple. I am shooting video from two different cameras so I can get a wide view and a close up view. I can synch the two files on the two video lines, but I don't want an overlay. Instead, I want to insert synchronized bits of the close up into the wide shot. However, when I cut the main video file to create a space for the close up video, the main video file automatically closes up so I can't insert the section I want anymore.

Any ideas on how to do this? I don't have multiple scenes. Instead, I run both cameras simultaneously and continuously through the song (it's a guitarist).

Suggestions?

Hello,

You can split the main video by using the Split function of AVS Video Editor and then insert the necessary fragments of video by dragging and dropping them from the Media Library at the place where you splitted the video.

Best regards

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Sounds straightforward.
