This is what I need: a) one file including a (disc) menu and several videos, and b) it must be playable on a computer.

My question is: How to do that using the AVS tool set?

I tried generating a Blu-ray or DVD in a folder on disk (with e.g. the AVS Video Converter) and then converting it to a MKV file. But when playing the MKV file, the menu is not shown, but only a sequence of the videos. (My media player is the VLC Media Player.)

Hello,
Disc menu is not available for MKV format.
You can create DVD or Blu-ray with menu and save output files to a folder on your PC.
